Team reaction to the Infinity Paradise Lost Trailer 

as Infinity was designed first to be a tabletop RPG before miniatures game, it's easier to put more mundane situations than W40K.

Current GW bosses are to full of them selves to admit the fact that they are going in to the wrong direction.

Same! I've been a Haqq player since 1st Ed. and the few Hassassins that existed at the time were my favourite models. The original Fiday was one of the minis that drew me to Infinity in the first place. It's great to see them in the spotlight.

Absolutely. As a 40k refugee this is all I wanted for (not from) corvus. Their IP is amazing, their game is amazing, their ideas are amazing and their team are amazing, they just need to be more known and this will help a lot.

It needs to up the ante a bit to reach Arcane's animation and production. It still looks great though and I am fully convinced that the story, the script and the characters will be much much better than Arcane. Arcane was pretty, but ultimately hollow. I'm hoping for depth and character and world-building before fan-service with Paradies Lost. And that we get to see some Ariadna, of course...

If 99% of CB buyers are men in western countries, isn't using a woman and a Muslim as main characters a way to attract a wider audience?

The whole point of a trailer is to excite the viewer, not provide a summary of the plot. Otherwise, why would anyone watch it. I think you will find there is a larger player base than your assumption of white men in Western countries. Get out of here with your division.

@quietprofessional4557 You sound a bit confused. I didn't say a trailer should give a summary of the plot for Pete's sake, I said it should convey what the story is ABOUT. Do I have to explain the difference to you? And which "wider player base" are you referring to? Non-western countries? The sales speak for themselves. As for women, most would rather chew broken glass than go through the N4 rulebook. Generally speaking it's MEN - white men or black men or anything in between - who spend cash on miniature games. Not women. I'm not trying to be a jerk or upset you, just telling you how the world works.

@@georgee4810 It is a trailer, and it is a trailer designed to get interest and funding for the series. A pilot trailer I suppose. So is it fair to say that it does not give any plot details? If anything, it is there to promote the animation style and give the audience a glimpse of what to expect. The concept of "show, don't tell" is important for the visual medium. The trailer does offer a broad plot regarding the importance of silk, and the trailer shows different groups fighting over it. A basic plot indeed, but can be learned by watching it. Does it have to be explicitly stated in a long monologue? It is a teaser trailer, designed to tease us and want us to have more. There is a small Infinity gaming community in Singapore which is not a Western country. Russia is also not a Western country and there are plenty of players there. The player base for Infinity is very small compared to other tabletop games. If the series has a good story, it does not have to cater for the Infinity community. I never played Arcane: League of Legends, however I did enjoy the mini-series season 1 on Netflix. That was not catered to me; but the story, character development, and cinematics pulled me in to watch it. Considering Infinity includes all ethnicities, it will have a broad audience anyway, regardless if they play the game or not. Considering AlitarS's comment, most Western countries have large numbers of immigrants, so your statement about men in Western countries only is incorrect. The series will cater for a large audience, not just those of us who play Infinity. As for women, yes they are outliers who do play Infinity, yet I think if the story and character development is good, women may find it worth watching.
