Nebraska football has always meant running the football and option football. Beginning with Bob Devaney and continued by Tom Osborne it was the most successful running offense in the NCAA. These coaches knew the weather during the football season didn’t allow a successful passing attack.The weather has not changed. Riola is a one off situation. When he graduates or otherwise leaves the team, then what? Nebraska cannot expect to replace him with an equal talent. Don’ fool yourself, the fan base grew up seeing an option running team and that is what they want.
Bro what? In order to change you must evolve. We still have a nasty running game as you can tell if you can see. But now our passing game is nastier than it has been in a good 5 years. Please don’t talk down if you like your team lift them up that’s what you do. This spring game was a better spring game then we’ve witnessed in recent years so if your not tapped in tap out.
you can have both and we have had both. Granted we did not have a passer with quite such high potential, though Ferragamo made it to the Super Bowl. As the young Raiola said himself, "a great running game is a QB's best friend".
This was a Nebraska hype game. I mean what supposed to be a sack doesn’t get called and the play ending in a TD?? Cmon now. These guys will win 3-5 games this season😂
