Yeah but this one is better. He's funny because he's out of touch not because he's genuinely a fool. When he got hit by the ball in Ragnarok I felt that was something that would happen to Deadpool, not Thor.
Sam and Bucky moving in together and Sam will have an entire wall dedicated to "the big three" and Bucky is like "somedays I wish I could rip up his poster, but then he would make me breakfast"
We need a tv series of just Darryl becoming roommates with different characters in the MCU. They can be well-known or really obscure, I just want to see how it would play out. He is just so chill with all of these characters.
@@yusufkadri4972 this isn't after infinity war. this came out as a trailer for thor ragnarok and it's supposed to be just a parody, like an alternate timeline, not canon
"Dear Steve Rogers, Do you remember when I goaded you into killing those prisoners, and you made me swear to never tell the other Avengers. . ." Are. . . Are we just gonna ignore that?
@@jessevanderveen4363 The one who put the 'worthy' criteria was Odin 'I-summarily-genghis-khaned-nine-realms-and-didn't-tell-Azgard' Allfather. I'm pretty sure killing a dozen guys isn't a problem for him.
I like the idea that this is a closely related but slightly different version of the main Marvel timeline that results from the events of Loki. With the multiverse, this could be from the "What If" universe of "What if Captain America was goaded by Thor into killing prisoners?" In that timeline, Thor and Hulk both remained on earth- Thor lived with Darryl and later Darryl lived with Grandmaster- this is all real- but Our Captain America did not kill prisoners... we can be confident of that.
Plot twist: The Grand Master, living in LA, decided to pick up acting and took the stage name "Jeff Goldblum". And now everything makes much more sense.
Thor: But you could've sent an electronic mail it's called an email. Dr. Strange: Yes but do you have a computer? Thor: No what for? *NOW WE KNOW WHERE THAT CAME FROM*
Taika is probably one of the few directors that I enjoy watching when he inserts himself into his movies, because he either has a LOT of energy... or he's hilariously awkward. I know, totally unrelated, but seeing Thor reminded me of this.
King of Meme I think in the comics the metal is actually very special and has magical properties. Same stuff they used for storm breaker. HES LITERALLY GIVING HIM MAGIC GOLD COINS, WTF
The writing is just top-notch Kiwi comedy... filtered through this weird Australian/Hollywood Blockbuster thing. NOW I UNDERSTAND why Taika did all this. What a creative kaleidoscope.
It’s so funny going back and seeing this after Infinity War and Endgame. Back then the jokes and reference to Thanos were so light and funny, such a contrast to how sudden and merciless Thanos uproots Thor’s entire life later on.
This is why Thor is my favourite MCU character. he has come along way from the arrogant selfish character he was when we first met him in the original Thor movie
...what? Back when? No one in history used ravens as messengers that I'm aware of, it was usually carrier pigeons. And in the MCU, Odin used ravens as messengers right up until Thor: The Dark World, so that's not really all that long ago... They just used different technology on Asgard, but it got the job done (well, except their defenses needed some work, not that it matters anymore...)
This is giving MAJOR Office vibes and Michael Scott memories!! I wish this was a new series on Disney plus because I would pay HUGE AMOUNTS of money to watch this series. Especially to see how captain America was after he woke up. Or Yelena after she was unblipped. Or side characters! It would be an emotional rollercoaster
I guess Tony and the other Avengers have recognized Thor as not very helpful. Well luckily Taika Waititi and the Russo brothers more than redeemed him.
He’s so upset that no one called him when tony and cap got in a argument lmao it’s only cause whenever side Thor woulda been on they would have won straight up
NeteriXX Thor would body vision my guy. Based on hand to hand combat, strength and pretty much everything physical, he is superior. But his abilities alone would be enough to wreck vision
What if Darryl is Thanos but in disguise waiting for the right moment to destroy the avengers. I mean it’s obvious. He wasn’t in the infinity war while Thanos was. Like it only makes sense
How do I know that you are not cannibal thanos in disguise I mean I have never seen you in the same room as thanos and I have never seen you admit to not be a cannibal
I feel that'd work better as its own show with either little or zero connection to the MCU (Though if there is completely non canon so aliens from other Disney sci fi franchises can show up(
tbh, i could see a series of mockumentary about the New Asgard (Tonsberg,Norway) starring korg , meek, and other asgardians just blending with the locals
bahaanaldo that’s not what happened. No one liked Thor’s character or his movies so they got a new director and Chris hemsworth started being funny instead of serious
@@bc0443 That's not really true. More people hated Ragnarok than the first two. They liked the shakesperian Thor, with his jokes about not understanding the world "He is adopted" "I need a horse" etc. The first Thor is one of the most popular among fans
Amalie Skjoldaa please go look up the ratings of all three movies. Then look up a ranking of every mcu movie. Then look up why Chris helmsworth and the director changed his character, then come back here
@@bc0443 Of course the ratings changed. When Thor: The Dark World ended, people had to wait 5 years for another one, while some Marvel people told that "Ragnarok would be the best, and most expensive Marvel movie ever". It was really hyped. I'm just saying how I have experiences fans to react/heard from them. Ratings don't really matter in the scenario
When I saw the logo for the New Zealand Documentary Board, I wondered if it was made by Taika, so I paused it to go look, LOL. Thanks for your comment. I can stop looking now.
honestly he's the best thing to happen to Thor, Chris is so funny but he was so underused in past films, i'm happy Taika understands the character enough to realize that!
Well at least we have that one with the children. But that will be golden! I hope they do something like that for the Disney+ Loki show since I’m pretty sure he’s gone from the MCU, I hope not at least.
8:32 "At first I thought he was just another Hollywood type person, but then I realised he was more likely from another planet" Jeff Goldblum in nutshell
