Happy to see the lineup adjustments up top, but mostly so proud of the guys for not letting the game against France deter them. I know that the Olympics is not the pinnacle of soccer tournaments but for most of these guys this may be their finest moment. Keep up the hard work and you have nothing to lose the rest of the way. Glad they will finally make it to Paris and soak up the experience- nothing like standing beneath the Eiffel Tower and Olympic rings! Go USA!

Paredes, Paredes, PAREDES!!!!!! What a game from him!!!! Thank you for proving me right. When he's able to stay on his feet, he can fly and he's really dangerous as an attacker!! Now that that's out of the way.... Great game all around. This kind of game speaks to what I've been saying since we got grouped... the older guys couldn't get it done. It's time to let the kids take over. Whether we like it or not, they are the key to a wonderful future. Yow was amazing, McGlynn REALLY surprised me this tournament, Tessman eh but he's been really good, Paxten was good. Only downside... I'm STILL not confident on goalie. Atencio surprised me with the pace he showed. But the man of the match is Paredes, and I'm not at all surprised with the way he looked. That's exactly what I thought he could do. He'll develop and get even stronger and faster. If he stays on his feet, watch out. Btw, if you like what you saw out of him, well I've got good news! We're about to have an insane run of young, exciting wingers, and they're all probably going to end up faster and more technical than him. Almost every class from 2005-2010 has a winger that I think has those same qualities. Here's hoping that run continues, we find 2011 and younger wingers like that and this current batch pans out. Onto Morocco.... unlike the senior team, this is a team I can say makes me proud!

Really impressed by some of these guys, fair to say that Tolkin has at least earned a chance to go to Europe, Tessmann is so efficient in what he does and composed on the ball, McGlynn as well, definitely needs to leave MLS asap due to his age. That entire front 3 is so talented, if people can disassociate Paxten from his brother they will start rating him fairly, he’s already better than Brenden.

Props for a fair assessment of Djordje Mihailovic. If I didn't think he was good, then I wouldn't have supported him so much. You don't see me riding for someone bad.

Tessmann, Tolkin, Yow, Paxten and Paredes deserve senior team call ups, Tessmann is so composed and never misplaces a pass, Tolkin could be Jedis backup since it’s in the open, and the front 3 deserve a shot since we have no wingers. Paxten to replace his brother. Huge congrats to Harriel for being good so far

Loving what I’m seeing from Yow.

Excellent analysis and spot on again with player ratings. Paredes showed out, what a game. Always felt he flops too much but today he was poised and was a force. Yes it’s Guinea, but think about what we saw: a guy (Paredes) who showed why he’s hyped so much; an amazing save (Schulte) when it was needed most; that PASS from Paxten 💯; Yow basically doing Pulisic-like things; and an absolute golazo from Mihailovic. When you look at what this generation can do at their peak, it is very promising. We did see that the loss of Busio hurts a little more than I would have expected. Think they should start McGlynn in Busio’s spot and Tessman at the 6… Tessman is soooo good at the 6 and both he and Dietz looked a little uncomfortable. Plus Aaronson at the False 9 with Yow starting is the way to go. Can’t wait to hear your preview for the Morocco match… I think it’s a winnable game and excited to see how we stack up.

Great game by the boys! Granted, Guinea weren't so great, very press vulnerable. But I agree, Paredes and Yow were impressive. Personally, I think Yow would've been man of the match if he'd had at least one goal contribution. I disagree on Mihailovic, though. He was okay this game and his free kick was really excellent. But otherwise, just because he's one of the 3 overage players, he just doesn't live up to my expectations. Maybe they're too high for me. McGlynn is so impressive when he has time and space. And Harriel has really impressed me. He reminds me a bit of McKennie in that he surprisingly gets on a lot of headers. Just kind of freakishly athletic. Overall, great effort. :)

What happened to Miles? His injury? Because he use to be decent but now he is pretty average to weak.

Braden, nobody calls people who can net freekicks "set-piece merchant." It's an insult. Mihailovic is a skillful and athletic player who's an excellent passer and overall player. He doesn't just take the dead balls. Stop copying 11 Yanks and Tactical Manager. They don't know anything.

Have to start Yow against Morocco and keep McQuire out.
