@@ReconBrothers - Bro’s. A little help. I have a 3Xl large head with lots of black hair. Can anyone suggest a Bump Helmet that would be favorably to me. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾👍🏾👈🏿
Love the overview! I'm about to buy a bump and this definitely just solidified the Team Wendy as my choice. I'll probably buy one of the helmet covers for it too
Great to read that, at the moment Team Wendy went through a price surge so we have little stock left. If you need something that is not in stock, just write us an email.
Don't know if is work for you but i just remove all the pads, submerve them in water with some mild soap. Wash all of them for about 30', dump all of the pads to some warm water and let them dry in the sun for atleast 1 day. No smell, no water inside the pads. For the helmet just spray it with water from all side and you are good to go.
Can't wait to order mine. Still stuck between a hard head veterans ATE (8-12 week lead time, ouch) or this helmet. And what camera are you running on the green helmet on your right?
Deformation for HHV ATE is disastrous and catastrophic; multiple sources suggest the product is potentially manufactured in China - causing surreal amount of waiting period.. I’m not sure if you’re just an airsoft cosplayer or a POG, but I wouldn’t use poverty as an excuse or compromise with lower quality for money when your life is at risk. There’s a time and a place for cheaper and lower quality choice like fast food once in a while; you don’t do that when your life depends on it. Point is, please stop buying low-end cheap made in Chinaaa optics, ballistic plate, ballistic helmet, or foregrips. If it’s important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
Hello guys from recon brothers , in my opinion you should also cover the pts mtek flux bump helmet licensed replica that is ment for air soft but with spec nods mount and the inner liner being similar to the exfil , all an all an absolutely good BUMP helmet that rivals the team Wendy at a 130$ retail price against the almost 5 sacs of the exfil
Good that you mention those, but it's not fair to compare them at all. Beacuse the Team Wendy's are actually rated whitewater bump helmets. Which means they will save you from a certain degree of blunt force while the MTEK replica will not. And that's where the price difference comes from. Sure, the MTEK replica will be great if you're not doing too serious stuff and only do some matches of airsoft, but the Team Wendy LTP can be used for much much more, all the way up to extreme sports like mountaineering, rappelling, parachuting etc.
perfect review, congratulation :) But what a pricy helmet for no ballistic protection. Personnaly, for airsoft use I prefer to stay to the emerson one, and maybe buy a NIJ3A ballistic helmet one day, we can find it at 300€.
thing is, this helmet has a many more use than the airsoft replica one. 1st: it's a rated helmet so I can wear it even on motorcycle. 2nd: Lexan Polymer is way stronger and more impact absorbing than the regurlar Emerson airsoft helmet. 3rd: for many guys with NVG addiction, $300 isn't much of a problem and the NVG Shroud on the replica helmet is horse shit. but hey for airsoft use only $300 helmet is way overkill.
@@003thezg3 that's a choice, I did not said that every other choices are worse, I said that if I had to buy a helmet, it would be what I've described ;) Then you can take everything you want 😘
ARC adapters are not compatible. Team Wendy makes adapters of their own or you can go for the ones from Unity Tactical. You can use other hearing protection besides Peltor as long as you can find compatible adapters. We have quite some options (both adapters & hearing protection) on our shop available. You can have a look at shop.reconbrothers.com/ | Viper
The helmets themselves don't exist with a Multicam print, but you can always get a Multicam cover for them: shop.reconbrothers.com/product/team-wendy-exfil-ltp-carbon-helmet-cover/ | Viper
The NVG kit are shock cords that retain the device to the helmet. The 3.0 still comes with one, this was wrong. We wrote this somewhere else (description or comment idk anymore). For both helmets rail systems you'll always require an NVG mount to use NODS.
Having trouble using the team wendy headset adaptors with my peltors...can't make a good seal around the ears. Is the metal intended to be bended into place to allow proper fit?
Hi, please have a look at this video in which we explain how to mount them. (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eu4B07GQuDo.html) If this does not help you, you can send us some pictures of your problem at info@reconbrothers.com. I Instinct
No, but Team Wendy does have helmet models specially designed for skiing. Go have a look at the assortment through shop.reconbrothers.com/team-wendy/ ✌ | Viper
The difference between the Carbon and LTP are their weight and also the Carbon its impact performances are rated higher. So, it can handle heavier blows. I Viper
I'd have to disagree on that as it is only a replica of the real helmet and isn't even rated for any sort of protection level (not even a bump rating). What's the point of having a helmet without it doing anything? I Viper
@@meatboy2059 The real MTEK Flux is a very good helmet, but now you're comparing a 150 euro one to a helmet of 1270,50 euro, so you obviously can expect difference in build quality and safety ratings. So if you're willing to spend that amount on an helmet, then go ahead. XD You can also get the real ones through our shop if you live in the EU. ;-) | Instinct
The PTS MTEK FLUX is an inferior helmet to the Team Wendy Exfil. The Flux is a 'universal fit' and thusly does not sit well if you have a smaller head size than "watermelon large" - even with the extra pads affixed and everything tightened up properly. It is simply not stable for NVG's and will move excessively under use. The harness and padding system is also inferior and doesn't even come close to the grip of the Team Wendy Camfit Boa or Ops-Core OCC Dial. Additionally, PTS opted to affix the base of the NVG shroud to the helmet with self-tapping screws directly into the shell. This does not distribute load or even uses a backing washer and screw to prevent pull through. The interface system flexes quite a bit with the faux Wilcox shroud and I would not trust it to hold up to a hard knock without breakage or ripping a screw loose. To be honest, the cheaper Emerson Ops-Core replica is a better helmet than the PTS FLUX. It fits a wider range of head sizes, grips your head better, has a much more stable and properly affixed NVG mount (even if it is a clone).
I wouldn’t buy it, it’s for $600 in my country for what? Protecting your head from solid surfaces? Same thing with cheap helmets, I would rather get legit pads and a legit suspension system on a cheap helmet tbh.
I never knew shooting right handed was the most common thing I'm ambidextrous and use my left hand solely for writing and I do stuff like play sports mainly bowling and of course I shoot any gun airsoft steel BB nerf or the real thing right handed as a comfort thing as shooting left handed just feels weird due to my ambidextrous nature but I'm honestly shocked that shooting right handed is super common and what I'm doing is not something only I do for comfort because I'm ambidextrous
I feel like buying these helmets and not operating in a capacity that requires these, I.E. specific military jobs, operator, military police or SWAT is just LARPing. The only other use I see is for carrying Nods for hunting. If anything I’d take a well setup ballistic helmet any day. I used to get yelled at when I was in the military because I did not want to wear it over the protection of the ballistic helmet, I cared more about my brain pan than looking cool.
We actually use it for what it's designed, to protect us against possible bumps. We're not climbing yet, but you can still bump your head when running indoors or in a forest. I Instinct
Ok buddy I guess running on full kit with 30 lbs of gear in the pure wood with 4 k in gear is Marlins because we don’t have ptsd 😂😂🤡🤡 we can fall bang our head just like any other grunt 🤡
@@Mr64YO no you can't lol and no way in hell will it come with the costly Wilcox mount, and it's also dumb, uncomfortable and unnecessary outside of actual combat
Everybody spends the amount they want on their stuff. Only since it is such an active contact sport/hobby we put safety high. We've already seen and heard about way too many injuries happening. Also the events we plan to do in the future are not your regular pick-up games where people in sweater and jeans show up, plus the risks for injuries on those events are a lot higher (think for example about getting a Taginn round on your head). It's not about being fancy, it's about being safe! I Viper
dont listen to them bro, they are just jealous they cant afford it. If they were as bright as you guys and made their own business, then they wouldnt be complaining.
Great video, I was going to say the only bad thing about it was the name, certainly lose that patch tight away...but then I saw the price 😯 €800 seriously? For a plastic helmet? Anyway, the marketing team seriously failed "team wendy" sounds like a young girls dolls house manufacturer. I expected this to be around the €58 price, I really did.
The LTP is not the one that costs 800 euros, that's the carbon one. The LTP costs 410 euros. Also you can't really expect a tactical helmet that has this quality and safety ratings to be just below 60 euros. We've seen many other brands that are either more expensive or just about the same price and they're nowhere near to the quality of this helmet. We're however still looking for more affordable options but for now we haven't found anything that can convince us of its quality. The name Team Wendy is not just a random choice, the company was founded after the daughter (Wendy) of the owner passed away from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) following from a snow skiing accident. | Instinct
after that brillante piece of advertisment, how could we trust in your reviews.... 700€ for a plastic helmet !!! it ismore expensive than a real spec ops helmet... selling your saul for monney... you are in the bad way !
