I'm a union man, I was 4 stories up on scaffolding working on wiring a few hours ago. A very skilled co worker who is known to be quite cautious got hit with 277v while doing so. Fortunately he was alright and didn't fall. i would not do this job outside of the protection of a Union. I would simply quit and do some other line of work if the corrupt Ohio state government succeeds in busting the union. I will tell you a simple fact. There are many lineman who will no longer enter the union busting states like Florida. When the next hurricane hit's, don't expect power to be restored as rapidly as in the past. We are short staffed and have plenty of work so are in a great position to say FU to the union busting states. @@mickeyshooter5298
They went on strike because of safety concerns, they were demanding upgrades to the equipment due to the rapid increase in air traffic, and lack of investment, regular breaks are required when you can't look away from a screen for more than a few seconds at a time. They opposed forced overtime as well. In the end they busted the Union, and then did everything they asked for because people were being killed and the point was to bust Unions for an anti-worker Ideology.
If unions in USA are anything like unions in Australia, it does not matter what the members want. As a union member, the union bosses made the decisions, and the members had no control or say in who the union supported financially. Many of my fellow workers were against Labor but the union gave our money to Labor year after year.
Members vote for the Union bosses, so Union members do control what the union says. But since it's a majority vote thing, folks who are the minority will complain that the Union is not doing what they want, ignoring that it's doing what the majority wants
Very true. My union leaders support Biden, but a huge percentage of the rank and file support Trump fully. Possibly even the majority. I see it every day.
Yes!! Thank you for bringing that up! They don't give a darn about the people in America all they care about is those big Union dollars from either the teachers unions or the teamsters it's all the same

I wish one trump supporter that is in a union would explain why they think trump is better even tho he is anti union. All the top comments say "voting for him anyway" with no explanation
even if Trump is "anti union" which I don't believe, his record is pro worker. under Trump my taxes were lower and the economy was booming with low inflation.
Without a country you have no unions , communist coubtries dont have unions , when you have high illegal aliens working for cash eveyones wages comes down. Union contracts are worthless whe inflation eats every penny up ,

The UAW President went on Neil's show today, and he eviscerated Trump, and his horrible record with them. They are backing BIden, and listed several reasons on why. Biden has done well for them.
Unions need to stop endorsing politicians. Their endorsement does not represent all of their members. It is very galvanizing amongst their ranks. I've been IBEW for 15 years and it pisses me off every election cycle.
If unions want the best for their membership, they will support Donald Trump. Trump is the best person to lead the nation in improving the economy. Biden is the one responsible for the mess the country is in now.

tRump IS the swamp! He's a phony billionaire and a grifter. He wouldn't have to hawk t-shirts and playing cards if he was REALLY a billionaire! He did nothing to improve healthcare, childcare, infrastructure , or the immigration problem, and Mexico didn't pay a DIME for the small portion of wall built during tRump's reign. Well I hope you will be happy for Trump to continue to support his billionaire class! Like putin he wants to be like! See what your own eyes can see! It would be a mistake to support someone who only support billionaires! Better paying jobs! Billionaires do not want better paying jobs! Trump did not pay his own workers or contractors! Trump only cares about union workers when elections are around!

The UAW said on Neil's show today that they would never endorse Trump, because he was horrible to them during his term..and in his past. They are backing Biden.
Trump was big on talking. But nothing of substance came out of those discussions! Like the infrastructure week, after week, after week, after week... And the upcoming health care plan... It is coming in two weeks.

I was a UAW President in the 80's. They give a good portion of every members dues to the Democrats, no matter what the Members want. It seemed that was all they were interested in, not much for what the Members needed.
Agreed, we are union members and they recommend democrats ONLY because they are SUPPOSEDLY Pro union. I found that disingenuous. Lots of lip service during election years and NO REAL benefit to the members of the union. Others may have a different experience, but that was ours. I'm independent, but I will vote for TRUMP FOR THE 3RD TIME he is FOR AMERICANS FIRST NOT LAST!
Union bosses... they get great pay great Kickbacks great job all I have to do is go to lunch and connect with the a few of the Chiefs. They're not going to mess that up! They're all sold out to the Democrats
Unions are alway going to support the Democrats. We should be a right to work country, we should not be bullied inot joining a Union. Having said that, and having been a member of several Unions and a Union Steward I understand the need for Unions. I have experienced both the good and the bad.
I was a union steward and watched the union drive the company I worked for into the ground. After 17 years, Japan bought the manufacturing company and removed the union.
As a retired Teamsters if Sean and the Teamsters endorsed Trump you will never see me wearing my Teamsters jacket or shirts with the Teamsters International logos ever again. All respect for Sean O’Brian will end for him and others who endorse Trump.

Teamsters have historically voted Democratic DESPITE what the rank and file want. Perhaps they will see what the Dems have done to the Teamsters and vote Trump.
I’m pleased to see that the members of the unions use their own minds and support Trump who is going to make a difference for them. Not following their so called leadership in their union who r playing political games. Do they really care about U ??
We need some kind of system for abortion. If you're for abortion u pay more tax. If against abortion u pays less. Exp: a man rapes and the man is against abortion would now have to pay double even if the girl wants the kid. If the man takes care of the kid after a while. The girl can choose to sign the guy off from paying double, but for the rest of his life, he would have to pay for abortion tax. After 4 years would be able to change for and against abortion but that rapes can not.
Nobody around me wants to hear Joe Biden’s voice. Everybody ignored Joe when Obama was back in the White House. (I don’t blame them.). I would tell Joe Biden to stay away from me. As politely as I could.

I know unions and have had to deal with them many times when I was working at shows across the country ! There was a time when they were definitely needed as workers were treated poorly ! Today they are a liability more than an asset , especially in the automotive industry due to globalism ! Manufacturing in the US is going to be forced to compete with cheap labor and countries like Canada, Mexico , China , India etc…for a piece of the pie ! These companies will be forced to move to right to work states as well as fully automated assembly lines ! Many American jobs will go by the wayside ! No telling what these 10+ million border crossers will do eventually to American jobs !?
Excellent fact as well as automation is serious. The speculation needs to be on a completely yeah auto workers union? 90% of Tesla manufacturing is robotic assembly again what’s gonna stop these other big corporations, Ford Mercedes Honda Toyota you name it what will stop them from doing the same method Tesla with automated machinery seriously nobody brings it up because it’s the truth And gotten to the point again I grew up in New York City in life. They always said New York is where the money is? Honestly, it’s really not cost-of-living is terrible. It’s not economically beneficial for the businessman the worker or the big corporation you’re not making profit anymore corporations, big fish, you name it they’re leaving these big major cities are going down south Work Right states like you said they’re more pro business they don’t wanna be in these major Democratic cities despite the political views why wouldn’t want to go to Mexico. They make a lot more money and they’d be sustainable profit and the worker is respected with the job with all seriousness, can you imagine if the things like the iPhone or every item in the country was really made in the United States seriously can you imagine that imagine how things would be
@@ryandarko2115 I agree with some of your statements . I think it is human nature to get the best deal for your money and why we as Americans buy cheaper products not made in the USA ! I don’t think most people nor politicians realize what the results are with every job that’s lost over seas ! Globalization and Covid-19 as a direct results showed the US and its vulnerable supply and demand chain ! I don’t think there are any , surely not enough politicians who see the whole picture of what the hell they are doing ! I am old and have experienced a lot in my time , to many Americans don’t see what’s coming !
