The reasoning behind the removal of most runs on that were running on previous versions of the game are due to a combination of a couple of things. 1. The plank flying on these earlier versions was indeed much easier to pull off and had ways to save an incredible amount of time, after this flying method was patched it made it much more difficult to get runs that could even vaguely compete, and a new flying method was discovered shortly after this one was patched out so you could still perform plank flying but it was just slower in all aspects. 2. Another reason some older runs were removed was due to the change in cable physics, on earlier versions they behaved much different, one cable could be streched indefinitely which was a huge advantage, in the current version of the game you can do similar things with the cables but they behave much different then the earlier versions, the change in tension made this old method far superior to what we can perform on the current version, and usually what used to take only one cable in the past would now take multiple cables to get a similar result. 3. With changes to the game happening with different versions some of the levels had an overhaul to the level layout design which made certain levels records absolutely impossible to even come close to, there's only a few levels that were affected by this but this was enough of a issue that these older runs were removed from the leaderboard as well. 4. Another change that resulted in the removal of certain runs was due to the change of physics with the nitroglycerin barrels, now the barrels are much more sensitive then they used to be, so any runs that were on the leaderboard before this change were removed after the release of that patch, though I'm pretty sure that the only level that was affected by this change was "Handle with Care" but I digress. There's honestly more I could bring up in regards to changes in the game but the reasons I listed above are the only instances of runs being removed from the leaderboards due to any patches or changes that came with updates, hopefully this has spread some light on the reasoning behind our decisions.
if you checked the speedrunning discord server, you would know that I have saved the game versions with plank flying and original fine arts/insurance fraud, and I have given it to a few people (I could give it to you if you want) also I have found a way to make slingshots similar to the old slingshots (using one cable found in the environment, not the given ones, and planks), although slightly modified, but still takes the same resources.

After reading your video description I thought I'd inform you on the reasoning behind those decisions we made for more clarity, and I don't believe my comment was disrespectful to you in any sort of the manner so I'm not sure why this comment was your response to what I said. I know I may not be on the discord as often as I should but I do makes appearances every now and then to check in and see what I've missed, I may not leave a comment if it's not needed but I do check the discord, and if anybody wanted me to check the discord all they would have to do is ask, not checking the discord everyday is not the end of the world. I work a fulltime job and have other things going on irl so sometimes I don't have the time to always be checking it everyday. After you posted this comment I went to see what you meant but most of that information isn't new to me as you've brought it up multiple times to me in the past so I was aware of most of what was being talked about on the discord. And I do actually watch your videos, truthfully I feel like I've seen each and every one of them, but just because I don't leave a comment doesn't mean that it hasn't been seen. And if you want to try to get those categories on the leaderboards then you should try bringing it up to the other mods, we made the decision together to do this in the first place so I'm not sure if the rejected runs will return but who knows I guess, there's always a chance but I don't think it'll happen personally, if it is indeed truly possible to match those times but using the current version of the game then perform those runs and submit them. I understand that speedrunning is a lot of people's passion but that's no reason to get upset, we need to try to treat each other with respect.
