And today, we will tear down its previous generation, just a case.
You may have guessed there is only this kind of case worth teardown.

I’ve wanted to tear apart my old 11 Pro Battery Case and then 3D print a case for my 12 Pro Max with those components from the 11 Pro BC. But I have no idea if the work is worth it for it to even work in the end. That and I don’t have a 3D Printer :p

I'm so close to turning my Battery Case into a Power Bank. I just have to sand the sides. everything else i took apart except for the actual battery. I don't plan on taking that apart. If you want to see a picture when I'm done let me know.

Wow, didn't know it charges up to 30W with iPhone inside in parallel. Pretty damn downgrade on Magsafe power pack.

These cases go wrong constantly, I’ve gone through 5 of them and they have released a replacement program for the previous model, which is why I assume they decided to simplify it. Working though, this case is a beast and absolute game changer, never even think of battery life when it’s working.

I've gone through 3 of these and they all end up failing because of a lose connection or something. It keeps disconnecting when you move your phone.

There are a lot of wasted space. Thay can make that PCB smaller and also make this a 3 cell instead of 2. They should've put another cell next to the camera cut out. I would rather pay extra to have an extra battery life on this

Honestly, I don't see any way to make this PCB any smaller. It's pretty well packed. Also, the case has curved edges for ergonomics and should be drop-resistant. There's no way to spread lithium cells right to the edge without them flaming after couple of drops.
