3:11 The actual size of the battery is 18500. Battery is not very cheap but is worth it because new epilator costs $100+ (battery costs $14 at a time I was looking)

I was scared of epilators before but i gave in and bought the Karmin 5 in 1. Came with every possible attachment. Worth checking out.

hi, ihave silk epil7 which doesn't work. without the epilator it turns on with green light. but when i put the epilator backq it works only for a second and turns off.

Hello, on mine after changing battery, led remain red for 3 second and after this, no charge happen, no run of motor. Is not clear for me, what you mean when say, discharge the battery at 3 volt for reset chip, currently my battery is 3,60 v, is too much? . Thanks for reply

Mulitmeter and a resistor/other load, but there is different chips, and there is a good chance that you dont need to do that step, just put the battery in and charge it to 100%. If the runtime is alot shorter than when the epilator was new, you will need to discharge it... Keep me updated!

Hi, thanks for the great instructions! My Epil 7 got tangled in clothing and since then only turns 1/2 a turn then stops and has a horrible sound. So I bought a spare head. But the problem is still the same! :( Does anyone know what I could do? I have noticed that the hexagonal plastic pin ( gear?) That spins has a corner rounded off, so I am wondering if its just worn and cannot grip properly? Is that a piece that can be replaced? Thanks!

My epilator 7 doesn't work anymore , even when charged , the green light doesn't come up. It's just only been a month but it just like suddenly it didn't even start. I didn't expect the battery to wear down this soon . Is there a problem with the battery? Do I need to buy a new one?

If it is under warranty go to shop and they will give you a new one. Before you open it up, do the following: does the charge light go on? If not, open it up, and try to make a better connection with battery (move, twist, remove), if that doesn't help, remove the battery and give it to someone with multimeter to measure the voltage. Also what could be the problem is charger, try to wiggle it at the connector for epilator, and at the beginning of the cable. Test the mains socket too

I bought silk epil 7 and it stopped working after two years .. and then I bought new one and after few years it 2nd one also stopped working . Don't know how to fix it ..? No matter how much I charge when I turn on it , suddenly red light begin Flickring ...so much annoying..

I have the Braun epilator 7 and it will turn on with the green light and still make a sound but the head gear won’t move? It happened after I detached the head gear to clean it so I’m not sure if accidentally there was water damage to the bas

Have you tried with a different head ? Sometimes error in the reassembly of the head can cause it to stop functioning.

Hi, your camera shot at the end of the video doesn't show the top roller part and if it's turning properly. Can you please tell me if doing this then made the roller spin. Thanks

Hi Kath! Doing this did not make the roller spin, because all I did is changed the battery, or at least showed you how to. The mechanism inside the removable head has gone bad and it started making horrific noises and unable to work properly.

Hi Kristen! This kit that I have is quite old, guaranteed over 10 years, so you can not find the same one. At least one good thing is that both of the screws are same. It could be the torx and star screw combination...

Hello I put my device at charger and after it charged it does not work the green light shows as I turned on and then disappear and if I recharged again it keeps the issue do you know where the problem in? When I opened it I found some black color at the side of metal part not the side of battery can you help or guide pleased

I have a remington epilator, and i had it less than 6 months. It is no longer working. Everytime i try to turn it on, the light will only come on, and then the red light comes on. signifying that it needs to charge, but i've already had it on the charge for more than an hour. what do i do

Yes, the switch is probably broken... You could open it up and see what went wrong

Switch is hold in place with very thin pins. It probably got out of aligned position and you can't close it. It is an easy fix.

The One Ohm Resistor ! thats nice of you.. it’s actually moulded and it doesn’t contain any screws.. can you guide me if i can post the detailed picture through mail?

Is your model the one with removable battery? A single AA is needed if I was looking at a good model. If there is a coin like indentation on the side opposite of epilating part, try to unscrew it with a coin. Yeah you can send pics to my gmail: theoneohmresistor@gmail.com
