Agreed. Her question was very unecessary and insensitive. We woke up early to support them and are sorry they lost but we wouldnt change our decision just because of the outcome. We love them just the same.

I’d rather it didn’t happen to Jessie, the only player on our worthless team who always shows up, but this entire wretched program deserves to be shamed until there’s actual measurable growth.

Many countries also have issues and complaints about their soccer organization, especially in women football. Most established footballing countries still lose to countries with not too good structure or support. The nature of the game is "you win some, you lose some." In general, Canada has not really been a soccer exciting nation until recent times. Overall, I will rate the women as impressive with the level they are and hope the soccer organization start to build more on soccer in general.

@rawrss there is always that overwhelming drive from the host country and the atmosphere to surmount their opponent where they come close to being eliminated in the first round or loose consecutively in the preliminary. You really need to be above their rank to beat them in such circumstance. There is also the quiet prayer by the organizer to have the hosts stay as long as possible in the tournament. It is the girls against all of these pressures.

I think Canada does well considering its population, size and lack of funding for sports. We definitely aren't the States who have many more people to choose from and throw obscene amounts of money at everything to say they are the best.

Now , coming back to the "female" team (apologies for the offensive word), they can now proudly IDENTIFY as WINNERS and CHAMPIONS. Their supreme litter "mr." Dildeau sent already the founds from Canadian sports to Ukraine, BUT he is preparing a parade or two in honor for them/they/their winning, with those weird flags and with his tongue sticking out like an insatiable fago. ....
