Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal (tears for fears) performing their biggest hit on the famous tv show “hit studio Japan” in 1985. #tearsforfears #curtsmith #rolandorzabal Thanks for watching ✨🧚🏼♀️ Xoxo, lolo 🍀 🌻
I am 59 yrs old and anybody that grew up in the 80s knows we had the best music, girls, and just the best of times! If you grew up in the 80s you know exactly what I am saying. Just good times as Styx use to sing these are the best of times! People got along o matter what race religion or political stand we are now a divided country on every issue. It's so sad to see how far we have fallen. Just hang on to our memories of the 80s because they truly were the best of times!! Love my 80s family!!
I must say I thought the sixties were better,it's a strange thing that the young today can still sing the tunes from back then, but ask yhem to sing a rap song from the nineties, no chance, why because all the backing tracks were the same, with someone talking over them,in the sixties every act was different,Chicago just started, beatles just ended, the who,the kinks, the small faces,T rex,all individuals.sixties definitely the best.
I grew up with the MUSIC of the sixties, when everyone was following the beatles,I listened to Otis,Blood sweat and tears,Carla Thomas, Chicago, proper musicians who played their music live, saw stevie wonder twice in bristol, kiki dee, brilliant, new romantics tosh, dressed up like something out of sugar plum fairy, mimed all their music.
Amen❤ I'm a 80s girl, and what you said Is similar to me! My grandpa would let me skip school when I spent the night with He and Grandma on a school night 1982 & 1983. Junior and senior year. I had just moved to Missouri from California. My Grandpa would take me fishing at Bennett Springs National Park. Missouri! Other wise at home My Dad took me to school everyday. Rip💙Dad and Grandma and Grandpa and Mom💙 i Treasure the Memories like you. I know just how you feel.
@@michelleantonette9345 Such beautiful memories 🙂 I was born in 1984, but I do remember the late 80's (mostly 1989, because of BATMAN) So, all of those 80's songs take me back to a better place and time as well. Thanks for sharing your memories ❤
There is a Tears For Fears version of this done live for Sirius radio on here. Look it up. It is fairly recent and done just as well as the original. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NZ-o1N2swMw.html
When I first heard this song on my crappy car radio, I immediately liked it. But I couldn’t quite understand the lyrics, and I thought they were singing, “Everybody wants to move away.”
I was 23-yrs-old when this song was released and had just finished my first year teaching. I'm now 62-yrs-old and in my 40th year of teaching. Whenever I hear songs from the '80s, I feel like I'm right back there as a 23-yrs-old. Seems only like yesterday!
Absolutely! today's garbage, called music can't begin to compare; so many instant "musicians" with the click of a mouse; they wouldn't survive in the 80's with their "skills"
I wish I could forget a lot of the music and style from the 80's. Why do people pretend like the 80's was some grand musical and stylistic era?! It wasn't! Sure there were some great songs to come out of the 80's, just like every other decade. However, most of it was junk! Especially that new wave crap! It sucked then and it sucks even worse now. And don't even get me started on the "style". Absolutely horrendous stuff! Note: Yes, I grew up in the 80's. While I have a lot of nostalgia for the decade, I'm not so deluded as to believe it to be something it wasn't.
@@JSchaffer214 Calm down bro, 80s kid here also. Yes, it was at times plastic, and not all was fantastic. But there were and are a lot of gems out there
80's was absolutely terrible for music! A few hidden gems here and there. Mostly a decade full of synthesized "one hit wonders" and glam/hair metal. Maybe if your'e a pop fan it makes sense.
I was 14 in 84 and I completely agree. My brther and I took a trip to Vegas a few years ago and saw TFF with Hall & Oats at T Mobile Center. Both were amazing and a must see live.
I was just a wee young thing in 1985… I’m now 56yrs old. You do the maths 🤣 😜 This is a blast from my past… Love, Love, LOVE this song 🎵 And have you heard them singing this song lately?? It’s even better!! They’ve still got their voices 💙💙
the lyrics are still relevant today and i hope that soon the time will come again when the music sounds as beautiful as this song and most of the songs from 1985
Ó melhor de todos os tempos 👏 até hoje em 2022 viva anos 80 e 90 ❤️ prá sempre em nossos corações 🙏❤️🇧🇷😉 cadê os amigos brasileiros 🇧🇷😉 aí escutando música boa
I was 17 when this song was released! What a magnificent song. Their voices, instrumental..it's timeless..as are all Tears for Fears hits. This particular song though takes me back to Bali. I would often buy Tears for Fears CD's when I'd go over on holidays which was often. Everytime I hear this song is reminds me of balmy beachy tropical nights of Bali..🌴😍 Love the 80's music!
Sir Roland Orzabal and Sir Curt Smith y’all are the true bosses. Loved y’all then and still do now. My two favorites are working hour and Advice for the young at heart . I listen to them all the time.
For sure a song into the top 20 in the pop history .. Curt and Roland 2 genius of the music.. just now I undersrand how great they have been and are ! Love them !
What a classic song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is! Tears for Fears really captured the spirit of the 80s with this track. The blend of lyrics that speak to a universal desire for control and a melody that's both catchy and reflective is timeless. It's amazing how music from the 80s, like this song, continues to resonate with audiences today. It just shows the power of great music to transcend time and connect people across different eras. Plus, the fact that this performance was in Japan adds an interesting cultural twist, highlighting the global appeal of such iconic songs! 🎶🌍✨
Man I’m grateful my dad showed me all these classics when I was a kid, he never understood them but he had a lot of CDs of these classics, I remember when I got older he would ask me “what is he saying here?” And I would translate it for him.
Conheci essa música em 1987 com os meus sete anos de idade e em 2001 eu conseguir gravar ela em uma fita K7 . Hoje eu tenho quase todas as músicas deles .
