Roland had already been married for a year at this point. He turned out to be a husband who kept his marriage vows until the very end. She was a lucky lady. I hope he is happy for the rest of his life with his new wife. He won’t forget Caroline but I’m sure Emily has brought him much joy in his life.
I was 10 and just getting interested in music! The kids then really got into the culture of music and a trip to Romford Market would mean coming axcross all the different teenage followings! Punks, Mods, Skinheads, Casuals, Heavy metalists, futuristic punks etc etc. A good time to be a youth in which only your imagination was the limit! Unlike today where youths seem to have listened to generic rap for the last 20 years or so and the clothes have stayed the same.
I'm only 34 years old and Tears For Fears is one of my FAVORITE bands, and DEFINITELY one the GREATEST bands of all time! There's something to be said about a band that can inspire someone from a later generation... in the way that it's inspired ME of course. Much love from Western Massachusetts USA 🇺🇸 God Bless you ALL! 🩸🕊🙏
Lol. 😅 It's amazing how Roland Orzabal has changed in a few years... In the video "Shout" and "Head Over Heals" (two years latter) he looks much older. In this video he looks like a kid. 😅
@@midnight.blue42 nah ,how does a hairstyle effect his baby face? Yes his hair may make him look a bit different BUT that doesn't change the fact that he looks really young,I'd never have taken him for a married man, more like a high school/college student
Ah, 1983... remember it well. Like Curt's tail. I had one in that era along with the earring. Recently saw Tears for Fears in concert promoting "The Tipping Point" and can report this duo still sounds very good live. The new album is also very good. Nice to see these cheeky bastards have been able to overcome what life has thrown at them and resume making good music. If you haven't heard TFF new album, go listen to it; you'll be glad you did.
Saw them a few weeks ago. I loved them as a teen but the fact that they sounded so good live blew me away. I'd have been happy with them just showing up. Great show.
I saw them 1.5 months ago for the first time and was also blown away. The Hurting is one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time “Pale Shelter” is my all-time favorite 80s song. The new album turned out to be very good too. My favorite song on the new album is “Rivers of Mercy”.
One of my earliest memories I have is when i was a child was dancing to 'every body wants to rule the world" at Butlins Ayr in the mid 80s. Still one of my favourite songs today and will always be. Cheers for uploading this buddy.
Nearly 40 years on… Finally, I can see how dated the early ‘80s looks now, and how incredibly young looking these TFF guys were. They’re several years older than me but they look young enough to be in my school year back then 😂
Roland and Curt were probably 21-22 yrs old at the time. So talented...they are so babyfaced they look like they belong in Middle School...yet these freshfaced young men were already becoming musical stars and married
Meus queridos e inesquecíveis Tears for fears ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for uploading this video. I saw that they were other two videos of this interview but the quality was bad, or it had Portuguese subtitles. Bless you ❤️🙏🏻
Change is only one of their best song's but whatever the young angst with these two which is something that broke them up in the long run but finally back together and saw them on tour again. Still one of the best bands out of the 80's with the Smith's and the Pixies.
I know they talked about the video for change but was that the song they hated? The reason I ask is they released a song called the way you are which I liked and bought then it suddenly disappeared and I was told at the time it had been withdrawn because they didn’t like the song
@Alan Edwards, você tem razão, eles não gostam da música The way you are... talvez o início da entrevista esteja cortada, daí surge a dúvida, qual será a música em questão? 🧐🤔😶
I always liked Roland! He’s so cool and I like his unique vocals and looks, too. Didn’t Paula Yates destroy Michael Hutchence? He made the fatal mistake of getting involved with her. 👎🏻
so i know the interviewee is tears for fears and its from 1983. however i know nothing else cuz of that weapon of mass distraction. if you pay attention to the dude's eyes in the background at 02:07 u can clearly tell he's going what the hell is that?!?!
To this day I'll never get why a schoolmate said I looked like one of them, I couldn't figure out who he's talking about and don't think I look like either of them. Great band btw 👍
