I hear the lyrics are in Xhosa and Sepedi South African languages. The song says "Children of God. People of Africa lets help each other. Wipe your tears, through love and peace we will triumph. The time has now come, with peace lets move forward". They keep repeating the "Love and peace" part many times.
Extremely powerful song. The other language is actually Sesotho (Lesotho and RSA) not Sepedi. "Rona Ma-Africa" - We Africans "Bana ba 'M'e... Bana ba Ntate" - My mother's children... My father's children *my brothers and sisters* "Ratanang ka kopano" - (we must) love each other and be together "Ha re thusaneng" - Let's help each other "E-ea! Batho beso! Ngothando sizophumelela" - YES! My people! With love we will succeed. "Ngothando sizoncoba" - with love we will overcome (our strifes and differences)
I have cried watching this I am an African I am a Kenyan but watching this movie made me cry I would never wish anyone in this world to go through what I just saw . I love Africa
29 May 2024 in South After, it’s midnight I just came back from standing for 4.5 hours just to cast my vote cause my country needs to be free from our current party and it’s corruption. One day South Africa, we will be free ✊🏾🇿🇦❤️
@@mashek331 I agree. It wouldn't be true or real if it were to be in English. You don't need to understand the words to understand this song. Just listen... And feel
Tears of the sun. What a great movie brings you to tears how African People have been treated and what LT did for them to get to their people along with the sacrifice of his men. I broke into tears at the end when the lady said thank you and she will never forget him that statement alone is worth a thousand medals. Thank you for educating my 10 year old on the ways of the African People and how much they have endured throughout the years. Second in charge thanked him as well like he said these are his people too. such a strong movie.
Kopano Rona ma Africa, ratang ka kopano. Batho ba Africa, ngothando sizonqoba, ma Africa. Eya, batheo beso! Ngothando siziphumelela. UNITY We are Africans, wishing to unite. People of Africa, love will conquer Africa. Go, our people! Love will succeed
I always remembers this slogan at the ending of this movies when this movies plays... "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"... the music further amplifies its effects... it brands into my mind.... that we must do whatever we can or at least pray for the needy.

Shawan McQuater these people are the Hebrews. True story. Listen to what the prince says about him being the next as the Hebrew King. We are the Hebrews...these are our people. Most people don’t believe but we are sis. Blessings
@@margaretharris4639 Love we are not all Hebrews. Do history research, when did the original Hebrews come about? Africa was already a functioning continent when they came into Egypt and other parts. The Hebrews don't even pre-date the sumerians so how is we are all Hebrew descendants?
Hans Zimmer is unbelievable, and I am aware of all his stunning compositions. Still, THIS song moves me to tears like no other! Maybe it has to do with context as well... The African singing blended in..
Africa, is the engine of the planetary minerals and resources for those who run this planet. Simple put, pull the devil off Africa and stop supply the devil it's means to make computers, and supply industry for other nations to prosper and have prosperiry and give back the devils religion, then....Africa will rise up and become the totality of the holy of holiest land.
Africa is one resource for minerals (granted, a big one), but not the only one. And it's not the outside influence that causes the corruption and inhumane treatment of its people. Their leaders are corrupt and they get a free pass every time some moron tries to shift blame to other countries. Treat them the same as any other people. I'm not saying external forces do not play a role, but it is by far not the main reason for their current state. Tribal conflict is a massive factor.
Ocixucrix , the WHOLE world is corrupt. However, it is KNOWN that if Africa truly woke up, its greatness and honor will be the beacon for the world for the world and in turn healing of character and support will be lifted up for the next generations to come.
It's almost 2020 & this beautiful song always sends chills through me. ALWAYS be on my playlist. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite classic amazing movies ever made & Hanz is truky gifted with the talent to bring this music to life & reach our hearts, minds, thoughts, & soul. I listen to this soundtrack often when l'm traveling on the city buses in Orlando where l live. Love how all the African people clap as he says "FREEDOM!!" They're so happy they have a new chance at a better life. Brilliantly made & so touching!!
2019 january and i still listen its bring you to africa jungle, by the way !!! The lead vocalist is Lebo Morake from Soweto, S. Africa He's also the one who sang Circle of life from The Lion King
The end of this movie,,, is a lot like a bad day in Nicaragua, me and twenty other guys went through. Only five of us survived it... Not one of us was uninjured... This was a very difficult movie to watch... But everyone. Absolutely everyone should. To know what war is really like. It's not fun. It's not games. And not everybody gets away...
@TheMoonIsAConspiracyTheory, a regular delivery of arms and ammunition to a usual customer turned into an ambush. That turned into a scamper to survive, much like what happens at the end of this film. I get a little more PTSD, every time I watch the movie...
This track brings me to tears every time. The trifecta of an incredible fiom, the choice of humanity over safety and Hans Zimmer are a winning combination.
Tears of the sun : is my favorite movie from start to finish it makes my heart crys the way they treated there own brother and sister .... what we see into these types of movie is what is happening now.....I love the ending song of tears of the sun...bigup to all the USA military that play there part...I promise to travel the world with my wife and kids... and I wish to meet these top movie stars thank you
I just broke to tears 😢each time I listen to this sound track, thanks Hans Zimmer for your wonderful work and Baba LeboM your voice in this track it’s so amazing ❤❤
It’s not easy those moments you endure from abroad to later be received by a rejecting public and government. I served in the Marines from 2016-2020, didn’t had that chance to deploy and experience that part of serving a far more bigger interest than my own. Know that there are people in the world that will not forget what you did for them. As a marine veteran to an army veteran, thank you for your service.
Can we leave god out of this? Africa is still driven by tribalism and until the African people have the guts to stop it it will continue chew up the people who are really very lovely gentle folk.
@Rick O'Shay 1st of all, evolution is a fact and points to life starting in africa.2nd of all, usually racists are white ppl twoard black so im curios how does that fit into ur brain? when u say"racist faith-based claims"? how does that fit with the fact that, by believing life started in africa, evolutionists also believe the first humans were black? how is that racist??
@@shep6671 "Jesus is the life"? maybe for gulible weak minded ppl like u,who live in a fantasy mindset world, but not for ppl living in the real world lmao.
Definitely my favorite Bruce Willis movie. I just love this movie. It brings me to tears almost every time I watch it. And this music is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for it.
This song always makes me cry But I have no idea what it says. I sing along in my own made up words but I pray that it has a good story behind cos I love this song. 💜
The movie is about the Nigerian Biafran war. It talks about the injustice on the Biafran people by the Nigerian government with support of the British government. 5 Million plus people died in that war. Sadly the British government sponsored it and mainstream media refuses to talk about Biafra till this day.
There's No Way Mr Zimmerman Would Have Done This Masterpiece Without The Input Of Lebo M Who Did The Lion King Soundtrack. Only An African Can Do This. Lebo M Is The One On Vocals!!!!!!
This song stirs something very deep within my being, I am half African and it's as though the sounds and music of Africa is embedded deep within my soul and DNA ...
i'm 0.0001% african due to being a human being and i do think something about traditional african music is hardwired into our genes. i don't understand a word but the very sound of it speaks to me all the same.
People don't notice that this movie is true events that happen in this world and im going to be in the army when i get older and i dont care if the boys think girls cant do it because this movie inspires me and it teaches me to be brave and show your true self and im going to save lots of people weather the boys think i can do it or not
"This what they do. They cut off the breasts of nursing mothers... so that they'll never again feed their own babies. This is what they do." 😢 this movie and Tears of the Sun will forever be my favorite military movie.....well besides "Beast of no nation" haha
TRUELY AMEN TO THAT HANS ZIMMER HAS TOUCHED OUR SOUL GLOBALLY THROUGH HIS EMOTIONAL ASRONISHING UPLIFTING SCORE IN FILMS LOVE RESPECT FROM MUMBAI BHARAT
2 decades ago even on this day, it's still touching 😪 what a song and a movie The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing...Edmund Burke
This music is incredibly mesmerizing it allows you to connect to the emotions you may have about despair and suffering …yet it empowers you to dare to hope and believe within each of us is the power to create the world we all wish for
Very underated film. I saw it many times and it moved me deep every time. And that music! Can you feel that pain and touch that bloody wound.. ...Almost the only film where Bruce Willis shows fully hans talent of dramatical actor. Indeed I always thought that he could much much more than all these johnmaccain roles
Dont know.. I ve listened this music more than 100 times but every time i landed with tears in my eyes. My God take care of people in Africa for their wellness and Peace. Though its a movie, Kudos to Director to bring up this political story depicting an master piece. Hans music is an strong pillar for the entire movie...One of the best movies in my collections.. Cant imagine a better voice than Lebo M for this song.
@Glinkling Smearnops as long as there are Christians in Africa, there will be light because Jesus is the light of the world, and Jesus abides in his people, and they in him. That is why we are the most persecuted people of all time, because men love darkness rather than light. It is never too late to turn to Jesus Christ while there is still time. *_Whosoever_* believes in him shall be saved.
Always stand and be willing to die for those who cannot stand for themselves. Love each other without regards to race, religion or sex. Fight for each other as you would fight for yourself. We all need defense. This is what this movie taught me.
+Enathi Matshoba The lead vocalist is Lebo Morake from Soweto, S. Africa. I had the honor of playing with him in my band in Syracuse, NY back in the 80's; long before he hit the big time.
He should've been credit for this song along with Hans Zimmer. The melody is good, but it's his voice, without understanding a single word, that tears your heart out.
My favorite movie.. "keep moving".."is he not human"...he says, this despite the gun fire. #Africa This is why we have fought back in Kenya #revolution #RejectFinanceBill2024 I rather die on my feet than live on my knees
First time i watched this movie i was 4 years and i never shed a tear after hearing this song, but last year (2023) after this movie again, i cried, oh lord❤
If you're hearing this song like me in 2022, after the rising of Boko Haram And anglophone crisis exactly like it has been described by Bruce Willis in this movie, put a like for all those who loose their life in these crisis in Cameroun 😭😭😭
I really get an irresistible urge to just let go of the tears whenever I watch Tears of The Sun or when I listen to this music score. This movie was well done. The cinematography the theme the acting not only by Bruce Willis but the supporting actors as well. It is absolutely tragic how little some people value the precious precious gift God has given us...which is life.
