I don’t know if you will see this post or not, but I wanted you to know. Because of this video I stared using teasel for my condition, transverse myelitis. It is similar to MS but it’s not. Teasel has helped me relieve my vertigo and dizziness, and my restored my ability to walk. It has relieved a great deal of pain as well. Thank you for posting this video.

Hi Doc Jones. I am 62 years old and was diagnosed 20 years ago with intermittent remissive MS. I live in Minnesota and summer 2023 was the worst I have ever felt. Fatigue was debilitating and I didn’t bounce back in the fall when the weather got cooler. I began a complete change in my diet, eliminating processed foods and refined sugar. I started improving but my energy level was none existent. I decided to add teasel to my regular herbal regimen and WOW what a difference. Neurologists are quick to hand out prescriptions for amphetamines or provigal, all with terrible side effects. Teasel has been a God send. My experience with herbal remedies has given me my hope back. I’m learning so much and I’ve found a new passion for my life. I’ve taken responsibility for my health with more hopeful results than the current medical system can provide. I felt like I was dying for 4 months and today I feel better than I have felt in years! Thank you so much!

OK. Jones I'm adding my testimony here I found you about a month and a 1/2 ago but when you started talking about this plant I went ahead and bought a couple bottles of it because I've been in 3 different car accidents.. anyway I'm a great deal of pain and discomfort in my neck and lower back area. So I've been on this now for like 3 to 4 days I tried the quarter teaspoon 3 times A-day and I'm telling you on the 3rd day I noticed that I was in more pain in certain areas and it was a different kind of pain it was a weird sort of pain so I wasn't sure what was going on I did actually have to take ibuprofen later that night because of the weirdness but by the next day everything was fine and I have been actually just fine ever since that day so I'm just gonna tell you that so far so good it's working I'm taking a quarter teaspoon 2 to 3 times A-day sometimes I forget that middle of the day one but this stuff seems to be really working for me so I'm hoping that helps somebody else.

I live across the Mississippi River, and one of the first plants that I noticed when we moved here 5 years ago was Teasel. I had never seen it before outside floral arrangements and absolutely no idea what it was called, or what it could be used for. But, it called out to me and bid me take my place among them. I did, and although it was fall of the year and all noticeable greenery was dead, the image of the plant was etched into my brain. Then several months back now, I came across an outdoorsy Ytube where the host was talking about Teasel but, he had NO idea what it was good for other than making fire and combing hair. I went through my horticulture books from Ricks and there was little to no mention of it other than it being a noxious weed. THEN I came across your channel here, Doc, and I thought, wow, this Doc knows what's up. We have Teasel everywhere out here, and I personally consider it one of my personal, best discoveries. Now, if I can just convince the property owners to allow me to harvest some.......

Dr. Jones, Just found you….teasel I am trying to use teasel to see what it will do for HERPES I. I follow medical medium/Anthony William and he says two things I want to share with you. Yes, teasel works for Lymes cure, Western Med got it wrong, it is not a bacteria, it is a VIRUS. Anthony William says to drink 16 oz of FRESH celery juice on an empty stomach for 4 years (because I have had both viruses for decades) to kill every kind of virus in you, most of us have several of the herpes viruses (he says there are 60 different varieties of herpes…herpes #6 causes kidney stones!!!…we get these viruses from bugs/insects that bit us as kids and adults, whatever that bug has, when he bites you, you get it, darn it!!!). He says Lymes virus is in the same family as herpes so I am trying teasel long term to see what it will do. I gagged my way through one year of drinking the bitter celery juice (there are “mineral salts” which is a miracle product that will kill most viruses in us that cause most of our diseases) but I just could not stand it. I have Lymes and I have oral herpes so I am trying it with other supplements (like Japanese knotwood) to see if it will kill it. He says if you have had herpes for decades, it will take 4 years approx to kill the herpes but I could not stand the taste!! Your MS lady you need to write her and have her stay on it that long term in higher amounts as well…MS is caused by one of the herpes viruses!! Maybe long term, teasel is the 2nd miracle plant?!! I will buy some from you as well! My hubby and I are in our 7th month of taking it (for Lymes you take 9 drops for ONE YEAR, work up to 9 drops so you do not get the herx effect, you feel sicker after you started the product). You have your 3rd eye working for you and you listen! We all need to open our pineal gland/3rd eye and listen, too!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!❤ Allyson

I had a great turnaround last spring adding the teasel slowly, as well as castor oil to painful, inflamed and bulging spinal injury locations. I may have added some essential oils/CBS to the castor oil but I had already been doing this for s time before adding teasel. I believe the herb was definately catalyst to a big change. Heat/massage and stretching really helped too, when cramping was worsening.

I've been walking my dogs by these thistles for some time now, and noticed we had 2 different kinds.. One with purple tops, and one with purple flowers around the thistle top. I just got enticed to study herbs here in WA, and have had Lyme's, so naturally learning this herb helps with it, I wanted to find my own wild, and free...supply. Obviously, well past harvesting time of this herb, I watched for new growth, and learned about other herbs in the meantime. I became frustrated with the not so tasty herb Curly Doc, that seemed to grow, and crowd out my thistle area. Sure, I could find Curly Doc by throwing a stick in the air....it would land on one, they were everywhere... Then I came across your Teasel lecture. You were swinging around a Curly Doc as you spoke. Imagine my surprise... Turns out, I had found a large cluster of healthy, 2nd year growth Teasel, not Curly Doc as I had thought. Thank you for such detailed information, and pictures of all these herbs, especially the ones that change as they mature. I'm planning, looking forward to starting your herbology class. I am an RN, and have been a teacher/lesson plan developer in my past. Your teaching style is detailed, interesting, and you bring humor to the classroom. Fact filled stories about people & pets, that help the learner remember how to use these herbs in a realistic setting. Thanks Doc!!!

Wonderful information and personal testimonies. It appears to be something that might help a family member greatly but I am concerned about pharmaceutical drug interactions. That information can be difficult, if not impossible, to obtain. In the case of teasel, the information I have found is about teazle not teasel. Very few doctors have any knowledge of the use of herbs for medical conditions. I hope that you will see this and make a recommendation where to look for drug interactions regarding herbs.

I am going to have to try this for myself but my question is regarding my dog, he’s around 13, a border collie/lab mix and has the brain of a year old however his back end, specifically his hips I believe cause no bowel failures, and they just don’t work like they used to, he has such a hard time. Can I give this to him? How much should I do? We rarely do pharmaceuticals for any of us and I hate seeing him suffer but I just don’t feel right about putting him down yet since otherwise he’s doing really good. He’s the sweetest rescue and has been such a great family addition when we got him back in 2018 so I appreciate any advice!!

I have a relative who suffers with terrible chronic pain. I've found a variety of Teasel in Sonoma, California. Might be Indian Teasel. The flower heads are a great deal larger. Will Indian Teasel root also work for pain or could there be problems with it?

Do you know much about Teasel being good used for skin care products? If so~ how would you extract the medicine for skin care? I would think alcohol would be too strong for the skin...??? Thank you!
@HomeGrownHerbalist

I've used it for pain topically but haven't used it for skin issues. I often put alcohol tinctures as one of the ingredients of my lotions. It doesn't seem to ever be an issue. Doc Jones homegrownherbalist.net/product/school/

The teasel plant and the benefits you talking about is it belongs to the Dipsacus fullonum specie or other specie of teasel? because i read some Chinese specie only doing what you say. Thank you.
@user-sj4yd9uz8w
@user-sj4yd9uz8w 5 месяцев назад
From what ive read all the dipsacus species can be used for generally all the same reasons. Do we think thats true? What about the wild teasels versus the cultivated, Dipsacus Sativa, species? (that's the one that was cultivated for the combing flowertop piece for use in the fuller's industry)

It could be. I'd look at some anti-inlflammatory and immune calming herbs too. I 's also look closely at doing a Leaky Gut protocol. That's often helpful in autoimmune cases. homegrownherbalist.net/?s=joint+support&post_type=product&title=1&excerpt=1&content=1&categories=1&attributes=1&tags=1&sku=1&orderby=date-DESC&ixwps=1 HEre's a blog article: homegrownherbalist.net/2019/10/leaky-gut-food-sensitivity-autoimmune-disease/

Hi Kimmy Psoriasis is typically a sign of a grumpy liver so herbs like burdock, yellow dock and milk thistle are good. Have a look a this formula: homegrownherbalist.net/product/skin-support-tincture/

How do you make a tincture?
@HomeGrownHerbalist
@HomeGrownHerbalist 3 года назад
1:5 ration by weight of dry herb and vodka. So, 100 grams herbs to 500 g/cc/ml vodka. Let it sit a week or two. Shake it every day and say nice things to it and you'll have a tincture. Strain and bottle. homegrownherbalist.net/about-the-school/

I am thinking then that teasel would be good for Morton’s Neuroma. Would it help reduce the inflamed nerve? That would be wonderful! I see that this is an older video but if you happen to get my comment it would be great. There are many of us who suffer from M N. I have wide feet and forever had shoes that fit too tight so I know how I ended up with it.
