very interesting tech for design, on my case I love photography and video editing, I use a MSI GS63 8RE laptop as my main computer, I use the adobe student subscription, I also use my Ipad pro for editing and taking notes of my ideas and projects but mostly I use it as a second monitor, at home I have a curve monitor with great colors but it's not recommended for designing because you can see rect lines as curves on certain situations but its perfect for multimedia consumption or gaming. I'm thinking to change my laptop for a Macbook Pro M1 too.

I would start with learning software such as Figma from RU-vid tutorials and familiarising yourself with the basic design principles from websites like NNGroup, lawsofux and Interaction Design Foundation. If you're still interested after that maybe read some books like The Design of Everyday Things, Don't Make Me Think and Hooked. Hope that helps :)
