Kendrick Lamar is one of only a few mainstream rap lyricists with actual merit as a rapper. His verse along with Techn9ne's was pretty solid. Tech tried to talk to Eminem into doing a verse.

My first violin was given to me by a man that my mother cared for when she was a nurse. He was 86, and his grandfather gave it to him. I never got to meet him. My mother gave it to me, and I was so excited cause I was going to meet this man, and become a part of his life for something so beautiful. He passed the same night. Then I moved (on the run, some of you will get that) and while I was gone my brother-in-law, at the time, pawned my violin. My, unmet, friend's violin, this priceless violin for probably $50. I never got to have my moment with him either. Dude found out I was back in town, and he called for a police escort to his parents, and he moved somewhere into Kentucky. That's been 11 years. I still haven't forgotten or forgiven.

I love it when artists express their thoughts, feelings, wants, needs, struggles, and society's issues. Music is a great way to do it. Cause that's what I do to. Without music, knowledge, and drugs. I would've been gone from this earth a long time ago. That's why I still push on till I'm gone. I'll either reach my dream and succeed in making a difference. Or end up dead anyway.
