Whenever I see or hear people saying rap isn't great anymore I'm like: "Uh, have you heard of Strange Music?" Literally all of Strange Music's history is great.

Majik Ninja Entertainment is a close contender for best projects this year

There was a long period of time ~2003-2008 where Strange was essentially the only label to turn to for hard ass lyricism. Rhymesayers were doing their thing, ICP/Psychopathic was still coasting from their peak a few years prior, but outside of a few special artists scattered around doing their own thing, Strange was essentially keeping this shit on life support. During hiphops biggest lull Strange was going at it like bloodhounds. They were running shit to the point that mainstream execs were calling trying to figure out how they were pulling in so much revenue during a recession. What I'm saying is that even if Strange were to never release another project again, they kept its life support plugged in and stood at its bedside until it was healthy again. And for that they will always have a chapter in the book of hiphop.
