I theorize the only reason Splinter doesnt wasnt anyone but Donnie to help him with tech-related issues is because he knows Donnie only feels useful because of his tech. Hes trying to make his son feel loved and wanted.
Even though Raph, Mikey, and Leo tried to help their dad but Splinter kept stopping them helping him but all he wanted was Donnie come and help him get the WIFI on his laptop.
In these moments I feel sorry for these boys for not being able to learn from 2012 Splinter. Imagine how much higher their potential could've been brought up with his help. 😭 Then again, the reason these turtles could grow so much individually is because their childhood wasn't filled with training and being a ninja. Still, a wise dad like 2012 master Splinter could've really helped them a lot.
