i ask myself how much time takes to learn to use each hardware and if producers take the time to study it or just move with the general functions of it. Becoming in a way a bunch of not predicted results. lovely
I have found so much good music because of Steve Bug. On a whim I picked up Da minimal Funk on Raw Elements at a local shop. From the start of Digit Red’s Density & Size I was hooked. It was unlike anything I had heard up to that point. The more I dug, the closer I got to my preferred style of music. And while I love me some disco house, I’ll vibe out on some minimal treats for hours and hours...
It's refreshing that there are producers out there that produce incredible music in a studio like that and also produce just as incredible music with just a macbook and headphones. we live in spoiled times!
If I understand correctly, he is saying that we get caught up in the minutia of mix details when we ought to be composing - so for example we spend too much time tweaking a sound for little benefit, and creativity suffers. I get it, but I disagree. In modern electronic styles, mixing and production has become as distinctive and important as rhythms and melodies. As we develop our own innovations in mixing and processing, we push the state of the art. Unlike pop, rock or folk music, the package is more than chords and a melody. You can't sit around the campfire and play tech house on an acoustic guitar. I like Steve Bug very much but I am disappointed to hear that he has relinquished control of such an important part of his art. I hope his friend who does the mixing is adequately credited.
@@infindebula i see that you are a critical critic but art is simply a self expression one may like or dont or one may worship it or dont completely left to the choices and tastes of each ..but in the music biz he has been one of my Top unique electronic music artists list...
hey thanx Electronic Beats for this video, please more video by Producer ( underground )..... here on youtube only commercial (fake producer) shit interview from other channel, probabily Electronic Beats and Fact magazine is the only one best channel for this ! steve bug is rock... more more
Nice interview, love his music !! Still a little sad he keep his bassbot MK1 in his box XD but that's just me being an acid head :p thank you so much for sharing !!
Great viideo. I'm more of an in the box kind of guy myself as I like to keep things compact but to each his own. Steve Bug is one of the artists featured in our Acid mix coming this weekend ;-)
great guy. does anyone have a "greatforeverything preamp-tip" ( mainly pads, leads) that helps me not thinking to much about the sounds while being in the jamming mode ? maybe someone good an great idea, beside 73 clones and vsts like soundtoys..
Oh no, no, no, no. There is and will be always be something new. I have explored using African and Arabian drumming along with strong melodies in my music. A part of one combined with another and a measure of something all new keeps us creating. My channel features only one division of my music, and does not show my cutting edge compositions with complex drum patterns.
