Really late to the party but praying someone has a full x910bt backup? I flashed hybrid without backing up and i think i lost quite a few options. It doesn't recognize its dvd drive and the button illumination isnt working. Disassembled, remove and reseat connectors. Flashed everything under the sun and no lock.

if the screen just goes back, when you put the car into reverse then it could be a bad camera, there's a short in the cable (either on the power side or video cable).
I'm trying to perform a backup so I can do the WinCE upgrade. I put a 8GB card into the head unit and it says not enough space, so I tried a 16GB card and still not enough space. I let it try to copy anyway and it stops at a file that has all kinds of special characters in its name. I found out there's a bunch of these files in one of the directories on the units flash disk. I tried copying these files one at a time and won't copy. They appear to be a bunch of corrupted files or maybe even some kind of system dump. I was wondering if you ever ran into anything like this. Is there any way you can make available a backup from your system somewhere online, like Google docs. I have a F700BT unit.
I got it figured out and am now running the hybrid 4.001 OS with new maps. It turns out the files in question were all in the "Dumpfiles" directory. I just backed up everything except that directory and upgraded as per your instructions. Everything went well. I didn't have to install the third party mod to run the new maps. I noticed in the "license" directory the license file was the generic one, so I assumed the ezrider.exe file was the hacked one, and I was correct. I now have Q3.2016 maps thanks to your detailed instructions. Thanks!

hey can you help me out i tried everything my AVIC-F7010BT keeps restarting after 5 min and at the menu logo says "system startup in progress.please wait" so i tried updating it,downloaded the update and and read the instructions and followed them and the update kept on crashing at 14% due to "copying error" then i checked the service Information and the version was "no version" and i kind of lost hope :/

hi! i did this back up for my f710bt unit. do you happen to know how to make a backup copy of the Windows ce that this units use? what program is needed to do a backup of Windows on avic units,how do you do it,and if you know,how to reinstall it from the back up you just made.thank you very much!!
g0guletu when you back up all of the files on the unit that's most of the windows CE components. the "winceimg.bin" and "winceimg.cks" are the other half of it.

Hi. I have seen your video. and the others. But now my pioneer avic-f700bt is flashing when i was trying to do a backup. When i take the SDcard out its working fine. And my headunit have crash down ad now i'm trying to get it to work again. Hope you can help. If you v´can write to me private and we can mail eachother.
When i put the SDCard in and pres reset it is starting up with the normal start screen. And just stays there for 10 sek. And shuts down. And it is doing over and over again.:)
+Mikkel Pakula wow i thought you were going to say 2.x.. Well it A) could be the size of the SD card that is giving you issues. Mine always liked nothing larger than 16gb 32gb gave me issues sometimes 2) the formatted on the card is not correct. Use FAT32 not exFAT 3) everything has to be in that "testmode" folder on the top level of the SD card. Are you trying this on a Mac or a PC?
