Nice to have options. Ridiculous that they are not self explanatory. Why not label the switch True Bypass - Buffer instead of having to interpret it and research it. Would have been nice to have enlarged picture instead of fuzzy video. And an explanation of what Kill Dry is. Their manual DOESN'T even explain.
Assuming there is not a difference between using the kill dry dip switch and using the tone print software/app to select kill dry? Buffers are great! Didn’t know there were dip switches in the flashback. Really should read those manuals someday haha. Thanks!
Hi there! Im not sure if I understood right.. Is there a way you can switch from "Kill Dry Off" to "Kill Dry On" with the app from the phone? I checked the phone app tho but I couldn't find something...Maybe I got it wrong here- Help! :)
@@MountainViewStudio yes. But understand that if there is only dry signal, there will be no signal.and if your signal is less than 100% wet you will only hear the wet aspects.
Hi TC, is there a way to set the Flashback 2 in trails mode? (if that's the correct term??). Meaning that the "last" delay doesn't get cut off if I turn the pedal off while playing. Thanks!!
Hello all_ i get recently a FB2 but it's on kill dry mode ON anytime (doesn't play the first hit) even if I change the settings! Do you think it's a fabrication problem? Thank you
That's good, but it would be better to just explain all of this in the manual...and make the complete manual easy to find on the website. Went looking for that for the TC Sentry and only found it via a Google search. And there's no explanation at all of the second switch in it.
And how cool is that!!! The TC is taking care of sound quality and options. I'm using my Alter Ego x4 always in buffered mode, because of the trails... love to hear after I disengage the delay.
Maybe there's nothing to be gained by doing kill-dry in the Pipeline pedal but I found no difference to be heard even at the choppiest deepest setting. I AM confused about the TonePrint switch though. Does that allow me to allocate TonePrints to ALL the subdivision positions or does it only affect the Custom position? As the default factory pedal I hear a difference in the default Custom position but all the others go back to sounding like Vintage even with the switch selecting TonePrint
Hi, Would you suggest to use multiple pedals in series with buffered bypass or to activate it only in one? Just thinking as I have a TC chorus and a flashback arriving soon.
Not many companies take this good care of us. Maybe thats why I have 9 TCs on my board right now, apart from them being the technically best products I can buy.
Hey guys. I have hall of fame and flashback. Very nice pedals, but I didn't find the video with buffer testing. Also could be good if you show the difference between buffer from hall of fame, etc and bona buffer. Thanks
This is an awesome feature. May be a dumb question, but does the buffered bypass function while the pedal is not engaged? I.e. if my hall of fame 2 is off, is the signal heading back to my amp buffered (it's last in my chain)? Same question on the front end with the polytune 3.
If you have Buffered Bypass selected, that means that the pedal buffers the signal when off. In fact, this feature is ONLY apparent when the pedal is off; when the pedal is engaged, it's already buffering your signal. The alternative, True Bypass, means that when you're pedal is off, your signal goes straight through, unaffected, unbuffered.
hey sorry if im being a moron - but i recently got a flashback 2 and am having this issue where there is no dry signal when the pedal is on. I have done every combination of the dip switches (kill-dry) on the back and nothing seems to sort this issue. returned the pedal and got another and had the same issues! starting to feel as though i'm going mad. can anyone help a hapless soul out?
Im really curious as to which of the Tone print pedals have the dry-kill? I plan to use distortion from mono aux send on mixer but cant find a kill switch info for pedals like; Darkmatter. Is it ok to use them in parallel if not? Will I get phasing and combing having to carry original signal! Thanks if you can help
I'm getting ready to jump on pre-ordering a Plethora X5. But I would like to know if it will have the kill dry function. Necessary for my w/d/w/ rig. Thanks for the video btw.
Will there be a problem with putting line level signal through these pedals? (I want to use it as aux send with my mixer, but it can only send line level signal). Please let me know.
so on the sentry gate, would it be safe to say you want kill dry on. cause its not like you're splitting the signal. a parallel gated signal would still leave ungate sound coming through
Do 1st gen pedals like the Flashback have this feature? There're no dip switches on the black PCB cover behind the back plate. Do I have to unscrew 4 torx screws to get to the switches on the PCB?
I was lucky to find a torx screwdriver laying around in my house. I removed the plastic PCB cover and the dip switches WERE ACTUALLY THERE. My 1st get Flashback delay just doesn't have the window cut through the black plastic pcb cover plate for them for some reason.
Yep, no mention of them at all in the Pipeline manual but they're there inside. The online manual, should you go searching for it, mentions the buffer switch but not the second one even though it's got one. But switching it appears to do nothing. No audible killing of dry even when chopping. Not that I'd expect to use it that way but experimentation is the mother of invention! Maybe that's why they don't mention it. It's just a residual leftover, like bellybuttons and male nipples...
I recently got a HOF2 and find it kind of shocking that these pedals don't have a simple wet / dry mix knob / function? Am I missing something? I assumed every pedal in the world would have a mix knob?
I socialized on DAW-s producing music, and I felt the same, when I started to put my real pedalboard together. First shock was that phaser pedals do not have mix knob. Than came delays... But there are some on the market, mainly from the most expensive boutique pedal makers... :)
would be a whole lot more convenient if we didnt have to open the pedal up to access the dip switches, like the new fender pedals.... makes it much easier to experiment with different sounds at home when you have easy access to the options..
