Speakers:
Robyn Bunch is the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Technology Licensing Office (TLO) and OSATT Core. She oversees the communication and marketing team and helps guide interns through the program and into their passion. Robyn holds a B.S. in Mass Communications and Journalism from Kansas State University and a M.S. in Digital Audience Strategy from Arizona State University.
Hanna Chastain is currently a senior at Wichita State University studying Biological Sciences. Before joining the TLO, she worked at WSU’s Tech Transfer and Commercialization Office. Her interest in technology transfer stems from her previous involvement in an entrepreneurship competition and her curiosity about the medical startup space. The vast innovation ecosystem of MIT encouraged her to apply to the TLO. After completing her Bachelors, she plans on entering into a Materials Science and Engineering graduate program to study Biomaterials for drug applications.
Stephanie Head received her undergraduate education at the University of Mount Union where she studied Biology and Spanish. She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a M. Sci degree in reproductive science and medicine research. She came to the MIT TLO to pursue my interest in Intellectual Property and Patent Law, and she hopes to study these subjects in law school. She is currently preparing for law school and aims to secure a position as a technology specialist while attending university.
Will Howland is a PhD candidate in MIT’s department of chemistry working on electrochemistry and catalysis. He was drawn to the TLO as a way to gain familiarity with technical intellectual property by working with the patents that emerge out of the exciting work done at MIT laboratories. After graduation, Will plans to work as a staff scientist and eventually a patent attorney at a law firm in Boston. He is happy to share the career opportunities available in intellectual property law for people with technical backgrounds and the great extent to which working at the TLO has prepared him for this path
