This was one of the worst officiated games EVER. The phantom fouls were absolutely out of hand. The ref with the black hair absolutely needs to never officiate another game in her life.

The sky were projected to be the worst team in the league so no one gives af that they’re losing (actually doing significantly better than they projected). People are upset because this was a one sided officiated game. Angel shot horribly today but I don’t agree that she was the reason they lost (nor should a team of vets be relying on a rookie to pull them out the mud). Their leading scorer sat almost 2 damn quarters with foul trouble. Everytime Cardoso and Reese went up they were smacked, hooked, and hacked. The officiating made the game unbearable to watch. Losing is one thing this was another.

Look at the play live from the beginning. A defensive player when a shot goes up and has inside position has the right to feel for the offensive player and effectively "box them out" . Burke square had Reese in a cage. What is the point of effectively squaring off your opponent on a box out, as you are taught in fundamentals and still be called for a foul on a "hook" ?? A hook can be called if it were 50/50, side by side. But when the defender has completed an effective box put, said player is 90% protected unless they miss a rebound and the ball comes to the offensive player

@@james7985if someone has spotted you before the shot goes up, effectively boxed you out outside of the restriction zone, you don't bully push them all the way to the basket. You affirm your position behind them and hope you get a clean long rebound.

The Center official was straight lined and should not have had that whistle as she was not in position to see the hold against Angel which made it appear from the angle the center official had that Angel had pushed off when she did not. This is why you did not have a whistle from the lead or the trail who both had open looks because that should have been a play on play. The center with a bad angle made an anticipated IC(incorrect call) on this play!

The referees let Angel Reese get beat up all game. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. They call Angel for everything; all she has to do is breathe and she gets a foul. The Sky needs to seriously complain; it’s almost as if they’re trying to sabotage her success on the court.

Reese needs to be repurposed. Do you know how lethal the sky would be if angel conforms to the reality that she isn't a set scorer? Strictly rebounder and kick out. Kamilla is the only one posting up and DeShields/Carter on smaller guards.
