Shaders, rigging, optimizing and making giant scenes or parts of games run smoothly… So to get started, modeling and animation in general are always a good bet, but then systems like Blender’s Geometry Nodes or the shaders or any shaders in programs in general. Also rigging is another part of it, which is making models able to move, which is… technical as the name implies lol. How do legs and arms move, or facial muscles controlled, or robots, etc. You can use Blender which is free, but there’s always the debate whether that’s enough(I personally think it is as Blender had gotten REALLY good over the years but the industry still uses Maya).
