@@ferjim2804 mainly it just makes everything better while working and you can work harder and actually enjoy it. It also seems for me I'm able to learn more and solve mechanical issues much better when I'm high, I prefer to work stoned

as an audi tech the electric ratchet truly is gods gift to mankind. the amount of t25s just scattered around these vehicles does not seem possible, but by god they grow like fucking wildflowers on these things

I made a ton of money when I worked for Audi I make more now working in an independent shop, but Audi was without a doubt the best/highest paying dealer I worked for and is probably the only brand I would go back to
impact drivers are insanely useful when working on cars. easy and fast to swap attachments, high speed, etc. i use it the most to take off splash shields and snug up lug nuts , but it can be used anywhere in the engine bay for the most part
@Logan of course, i didn't even think about everytime I pull a splash guard off I use one. For everything thing else I use an impact wrench, I guess I assumed the impact driver didn't have the power to break things loose
@@rubes1688 i mean probably not for anything bigger than a 12 but there’s tons of little bolts in the engine bay for resorvoirs, engine covers, etc not to mention on the interior and for tailight housings and things. if it can’t break a bolt loose i’ll use an electric ratchet
Seems like a cool shop with cool people. When I worked at both a GM and a Lexus dealer I was surrounded by red faced, racist, hungover boomers who were constantly throwing stuff and screaming in rage. Maybe if I had applied to the Scooby Snack Audi dealership I would have enjoyed my tenure as a technician more.

Every real Audi mechanic will show the special tool for removing the infamous bolt that holds the top two wishbones from multi-link axles. In germany it's commonly knows as the "Arschlochschraube" (Asshole-Bolt).
Pretty sure any VW/Audi/Porsche technicians favorite tool is the scan tool because without that and factory service manuals they couldn't fix a red flyer children's wagon.
The all-data terminal. To order new parts, because you don't actually "work" on those cars. You just replace broken shit or quote jobs so high the customer just buys a new Audi.
Honest. I’ve got a vice-gripping crescent wrench. Best thing ever invented. All these other tools are nice, but my favorite tool does about half my jobs.
Not sure why the last guy is using a surge for mechanic work. It's for electricians for noise reduction purposes. The standard driver has soooo much more power .. ps for the ones Wondering. The tools he's holding is easily identified by the molded in cover. The tool is hydraulic
10-20 times a day. It that tech a service mechanic or salesman. I only work on 1 car but easily I'd use my impact more than that. 20 times is only removing the wheels.
Bullshit I’ve been replacing control arms ball joint tie rods pitman arm and idler arm and I still haven’t got to use my impact more than twice you can’t fit them where you need to
