Thank you for the review! I'm coming from the Sony XM4, there were great all around however I sold them to look for something with better sound quality. In the mean time I'm rocking the AZ60s as I travel a lot. Very happy with them so far.

i bought these at the airport before a long haul flight 20 hrs total after discovering I had left my trusty JBL's at home the ANC was awesome to kill the noise from the planes engines and were really comfortable to wear for long periods of time I was really happy with the sound quality though I have to admit i'm not an audiophile all in all i'm happy with them and would recommend them for would be travelers :)

That's cool. I didn't know Technics/Panasonic was still around. It's a old brand name for high quality audio.

Is there a way to improve the call quality?

I'm an audiophile and I have good headphones. I will get the Technics just for the comfort, silence and mic for meetings/calls, so I probably wouldn't mind the mentioned reverb or sound quality that much. That combination is what I miss in my collection.

Thanks for sharing your review. I have an issue: when I turn bluetooth on, there is a very annoying noise, like a feedback sound. Maybe am I setting in the wrong way? Any advice?

I’m interested to learn if these (or the Sony WH1000XM4) offer ANC and/or mic capability while plugged in to the source with a cable. I need these capabilities for work.

Do they still have that echoey reverb that the EAH-F70 had?

I am currently using Bose 700 but I am thinking about switching to A800 because of the lower bass and overall better sound, LDAC support and way better battery life. But when only sound is compared do you think Technics using LDAC are ahead of Bose 700 enough to switch?

How would these sound when wired? I would get these if the wired sound good when I start my RU-vid channel with a voice over. Would this be good for voice over? If not what type of headphones would be great for this for example gaming headphones etc

I have the EAH-A800. That reverb you mentioned is there for me too. The sound clarity and separation on these is great. I am hearing subtleties I have not heard before, but the presence is quite off. It seems like the sound is coming from somewhere else through a pillow. It is quite odd, as you say. I guess I like the sound a little more inside my head so to speak. These headphones are brilliant all around: Build, Style, Sound Quality are wonderful, but the "reverb thing" is killing it for me. I can return. I don't suppose there is a way to work around that reverb? I can return. Perhaps Sennheiser?

Sennheiser Moment 3 or these if sound quality is most important? I really enjoy the Sennheisers, but they can become uncomfortable after listening for a long time.

I experienced some off-balance sound, sometime sound tend towards the left side more, I need to switch between ANC on and off to eliminate this problem, such a weird problrm

If I'd been travelling more often I'd already have B&W PX7. Atm I can get the A800 for GBP220 which may change the game a little (AUD384 reduced from AUD549 RRP). I've got HD580 and Sony M9 IEMs (which I misuse for work with a mic cable), and am slightly concerned about your reverb issue.

This Panasonic Technics A800 has very good sound and ANC and it's general volume and bass volume is much stronger and powerfull compared to Sony MX4 or Bose QC45. But to listen my favorite music genre electronic music and techno i prefer to use the Panasonic RB-M700B because they have somethning the A800 and other expensive head phones on the market does not have at the moment: A Bass reactor vibration system ! I really love the bass reactor vibration system very very very much !!!! It feels like you have a 2.1 subwoofer hifi system. Panasonic Technics A800, Sony MX4, Bose QC45 feels more like an 2.0 weak bass hifi system without any subwoofer. For a very very very noisy ambient or music without any bass (for example old music) the A800 is the best. So I change my headphones depending on the situation. I use public transportation and have a very noisy neighbor that is the reason I own the Technics A800 and the Bose QC45 (only to watch TV and video games but not music). For music I use my 3 pairs of Panasonic RB-M700B. I hope Panasonic will continue to offer and develop headphones with bass reactor vibration system because I can't listen to techno and electronic music on head phones without a bass reactor anymore. The sony Sony MDR-XB950N1 Extra Bass head phones from 2017 have a bass reactor vibration system (my first head phones i had with a bass vibration system) but the new Sony WHXB910NB Extra Bass from 2021 don't has a bass vibration system anymore imo.

Definitely don't agree on the mid bass, not feeling the "wobble" tbh.

To make a comparison for every single feature of a headset against multiple headsets isn't a fair playing field. I do not think there's anyone set of cans that's best in all feature sets. As a user I feel for me pick one feature that is most important then compromise slightly on the other features working your way down the line from most important to least important..

Looks good almost ticks all the boxes. At the moment I have headphones that can only do one thing - listen for stuff with quality and no mic or go to crappy quality with a mic. That hurts gaming with in game microphone. Would it be the issue with these headphones by Technics? Can anyone confirm that Bluetooth 5.2 works its magic in that case?

BIG COMPARISON (New and old ones): * Panasonic Technics A800 (owner) vs * Sony MX4 (tested 7 days) vs * Bose QC45 (owner) vs * Panasonic RB-M700BE (owner 5x) vs * Sony MDR-XB950 (Ex-Owner) vs * Sony WHXB910N (tested) : Every headphone has its weaknesses and its strengths : The Panasonic Technics A800 has very good sound and ANC and it's general volume and bass volume is much stronger and powerfull compared to Sony MX4 or Bose QC45. MX4 and QC45 are pretty the same in sound and ANC. QC45 has better software than MX4. The A800 software is in the level of QC45. The ANC of the Panasonic Technics A800 is much better than on Bose QC45 (And a lot of people say the QC45 has a little bit better ANC than MX4, so that means A800 has to be the best ANC on market at the moment) only exeption heavy vibrations from steps or public transportation... The Panasonic (A800 & RB-M700B) ANC has problems with that... The ANC of the RB-M700B is worse but not that much worse than the others. When ANC is deactivated the RB-M700B has the best overall sound imo ! The RB-M700B is the onyl one you think you have a subwoofer ! That's because it has a spring vibration system (bass reaktor). To listen my favorite music (genre electronic music and techno) and war games with a lot of bassy explosions I prefer to use the Panasonic RB-M700B. I really love the bass reactor vibration system very very very much !!!! It is the only one that feels like you have a 2.1 subwoofer hifi system. On the others new on market you thnink you have a bass weak 2.0 system. Also the mids and highs are good. I have a total of 5x RB-700's to be sure i got great music hp for next 10 years. Because I live at to places i want minimum 4 head phones. So this matches nicely. I hope Panasonic will continue to offer and develop headphones with bass reactor vibration system because I can't listen to techno and electronic music on head phones without a bass reactor anymore. I use the Bose QC45 for public transportation and the Panasonic Technics A800 for watching TV or silent video games at home when the neighbour is very loud (the A800 can better reduce noises from neighboor than the QC 45, bassy step noises and others).

it's better in comfort but the rest isn't so good: - wearing sensor fails and pauses your music randomly, - ANC is terrible if you try walking or running. I tried on a city bus and was a disaster - not enough bass, the EQ won't help

Shame they don't beat the 700s. I returned mine for comfort reasons, but calls were awesome.

Its better than the Sennheiser Momentum 4 if it don't break after two weeks...

The plastic hinges both broke just after warranty ended. Very disappointing build quality. I do not recommend this product.

This headset is rotten on the sound side not sharp enough defined and the bass drooled to death! Sony and Bose are better and better measure the frequencies that are better adjusted.
