@@afrog3569 yes portland cement afro, used the same method on a lot of supermarket floors in particular aldi/Lidl the germans used to insist on this method of installation, not sure if they still do. It is far superior to any use of adhesives, once laid providing they are a good quality tile the floor will last a lifetime.👍

Do they have shower floor? Maybe they'll install a bath?! About the silicone joints, in Italy for example we just use grout, no silicone and it seems, even after decades the joints don't crack or leak, different standards I guess

The drain is wrong technically. There is no weep holes. Ceramic on floors is a huge no no for durability. I'm glad we have this nest product here ( self leveling concrete). Its sad to see them having to install and be around all of that dust without a respirator. They seem very talented but just misinformed.
Somebody should introduce these guys to self leveling cement. With a thinset that watered down, I give it a year and you start to hear a crunching noise under the tile.

First pour some water initially in floors to get wetness in floor then put mortar on that, putting mortar in dry floors may come bad result in future...

i dont.know how long this job will last. You need to back butter the tiles to ensure 95% adhesion in this shower area; adding water to the thinset after it has been laid (and starting to dry) upsets the curing process and chemical reactions necessary for proper bonding. Sal would not be impressed....yet angle grinder skills and speed of installation is impressive!
It's called fresh setting. He's using even more water than is needed. this will last a really long time. Normally you would throw the dry portland cement, then water right before setting, but that's why he added the dry before finishing. I'm sure it will be fine.
