In Zorneding near Munich, Deutsche Glasfaser (Name-Translation: German Fiberoptic) started to connect the first participants to their network free of charge in April 2018, right into their homes. Eduard Hintermeier, project manager for the technology expansion of the network operator, showed me and explained in detail the inner workings of the Point of Presence (PoP) main distributor in the Zornedingen district of Pöring on May 17th, 2018.
