Techsew 4800 Pro Sewing Machine Review - saddlestitch vs. lockstitch 

You are the first video I've watched with one of these leather machines where you actually know how to sew. Good job! It made it so much easier for me to get a good look at what the machine can do because you're competent and know what to look for. So thank you!!

Hey Nate: I know I'm VERY late to the party here and you are no doubt a LOT better 2 years after you made this video. 2 things I would like to point out that will make you a lot better (If you don't already know what I am about to tell you) 1st, If you will start your stitching in reverse and then go forward it will produce a lot less bulk and be just as strong as the 3 passes you are making in this video...Forward, Backwards then Forward again. 2nd, Yes! it is necessary to hold on to the thread tails (and you seem obsessed in doing that) if the "TAKE UP LEVER IS NOT IN IT'S HIGHEST POSITION" The MAIN reason it's necessary to hold onto the tails is that if the take up lever is not in it's full upright position, it will pull the thread out of the needle or at least not produce a lock stitch with the bobbin thread. When you get ready to sew, simply rotate the balance wheel until the take up lever is in the upmost position and forget about the damn thread tails, but don't forget to hold on to them as the take up lever rises.

Great review, I enjoyed that quite a bit. My only concern is that Techsew isn't USA based, and as of 08/2021, they don't have any USA representation for service, sales or parts.

Hello. What is the noise of the needle and thread?

I've looked througjh your collection and, while I haven't looked at product, I don't see any products that are machine stitched. Why is that?

Hi Nate, how long did it take you to purchase that machine? I am initiating with leathercraft and to be honest, I would like to get that model but, it is kinda pricey.

Can you show this new owner how to thread the bobbin, instructions are very weak.
