Hi sir, hope you can help with some questions. My teckin SP 23 socket used to be working perfectly and I left it running without switching off for a few month. Few days ago without realising that i switched to 5ghz, i managed to off only the blue led using Smart Life but not the current running. I repeatedly on/off till i realize Im using 5ghz, I tried resetting it but to no avail, I'm wondering if a changed or wrong bands would damage the socket? Or other reasons? Thanks and greatly appreciate any assistance.

Hi Edwan, my apologies responding to your message after so long. I don’t think you’ve bricked your socket. Also something to note, these DO NOT OPERATE ON 5GHZ, there are only 2.4 Ghz (and that is coz you need a decent range of operation). I recommend watching this video again. With regards to the issue, wifi chips aren’t that easily damaged. You could power cycle the socket - wait for 10 seconds, turn it on and keep the blue button pressed. Setup using auto mode or manual mode connecting to your home wifi and it should connect too you’re smart life app. If you think there are any issues, you could contact support for assistance.
