Our model is of the Tecnoma which is just one of the many SP sprayer being built all around the world. This is as I have said before, a large machine. So having such a machine even in the 1:64 scale, it's a large model. And because of this, the amount of detail is available is incredible. If the booms were extended, they would measure about 50cm. However, one of the faults of manufacturers not seeing problems with their designs, here is an example. The boom cannot be fully extended, because the material used as cabling is too fragile. Because of this, in the images of the model, I have not extended them because I don't want to cause more damage. At 76, my hands are not steady enough to do any small repairs, my policy now is that if a door, boot or bonnet does not open freely, I will not force it. At their size, it takes very little pressure to quickly ruin a model.
The photos of our Tecnoma model, even though with the boom closed, still show incredible detail as to show how the Tecnoma works. The decals and badges have been placed with precision, with even the smallest decal on the actual machine duplicated exactly. The attachments, like the hoses and pump parts, reflect what some may call a chaotic jumble of parts that reflect the actual machine, and to translate those details to the model shows the dedication and craftsmanship of the model makers. Realistic? Absolutely. Attention to detail? Absolutely. Collectable? Absolutely. I can find the only fault, the cabling. I guess that with something as small as this, the difficulty in keeping everything to scale. This means that some parts can be hard to achieve. So even with these small details, which unfortunately does not allow the full potential of viewing it as one would hope, I would give it a 4.75 / 5.0. Robin Finlay. 24/05/2024.
