@@rubenarriaga3029I’m pretty sure he was brought in to Main Event with the champ, and they also created him his own belt. He was bigger than IC level after his time in Mid South and UFC

Its great to see Ted with his own podcast!! He was excellent on the mic, he was a model heel! Gimmick was top notch an I consider him one of the best technical wrestlers of all time!! I was able to emmulate his imfamous sell neck roll where his whole body would flip over selling a move!! Any match he wrestled i felt he could always win even if it was against a popular babyface, the crowd booed him an he kept doing all kinds of crazy stuff to people for a hundred dollar bill!! Then he took it up a notch and would botch a contest and not let the person win!! The imfamous ball kick!! As a kid it was like whoa watching him do that!!' We would be in school talking about what Million dollar man did last Saturday!! Thank you Ted!! Thank you for being a great villian who put a lot of wrestlers over!!

What an unexpected swerve that was!? I was so pissed(as a 12 year old)! Lol Nobody expected Hulk to lose the tile at that time & in that fashion too. That’s the power of Kayfabe. That was epic! Im glad I got to live through it.

He could have became The NWA heavyweight champion if he wouldnt have left, Crockett promotions probably would have had a rivalry between him and Flair
@jonathanturbide2232

...which would have completely sucked compared to being seen on TV by 33 millions people and feuding with Hogan. There's no way his Crockett run would have been better or hotter than his first 2 years in WWF.

I wasn't a fan of how they removed the belt from Hogan, it was too cheesy even for the WWF but it was a pretty amazing event.

I remember that Main Event the storyline with the Double Referee wasn't so good it was corny all they had to do was have Ted DiBiase hand the Ref a envelope after the match making everyone think 🤔 did Ted pay off the Ref.

Fun Fact: The Million Dollar Man gimmick would make its debut in June 1987 after then face Ted DiBiase turned on his tag team partner of the day ... Sam "Jake's real life half-brother" Houston. Ted had actually been back in the WWF since May 15 working as a face in house shows before the heel turn on June 26. Its a measure of his work that it was just 7 months later "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was largely acknowledged as the biggest heel in the company with him "buying" the WWF Championship at The Main Event.

Ted should've been the Champion and of course he cheated , but then have him hold it for a while wrestling everybody not the top guys and of course dodging Hulk until W.M and then Hogan wins his belt back , and have Andre The Giant helps his old friend Hulk over come Teds body guard and his crew and Hulk & Andre leaves to cheering crowd

Dibiase claims that he and Savage had never touched before WM 4. That is incorrect. They wrestled on Saturday Nights Main Event on 3/12/88, were Savage lost by count-out due to Andre's interference.

All pro wrestling championships are acquired by kayfabe, thus I recognize Ted DiBiase as a 100% legitimate WWF World Champion and I daresay that the way in which he acquired it is the best in history.
