Ginn in the National Championship game, after scoring on Kickoff, Roy Hall when he jumped on Ginn carelessly to celebrate, injuring him and it cheated ALL of THE OSU fans out of seeing what could have been Ginn's finest game. Florida no longer had to double-team Ginn. And we also never got to see him in the combine, which I think he would have had one of the greatest 40's up there with Bo & Deion. Thanks Roy!

I was there. And was stuck in the middle of the Florida side. It was ugly... Florida fans are some of the rudest, obnoxious, and petty fans I have ever been around. I had so much crap on my custom made Cairns Buckeye firefighter helmet (I was a professional firefighter at the time)... I got pelted with pretty much anything they could throw. And were these drunk college kids? Nope. Middle age (and older) men that should have known better... But, I stayed till the bitter end and took it. I always refer to that game as 'The Debacle in the Desert' lol.

I think he's actually the fastest player in all of football, college or pro. Did you all know he ran a 4.38-40 in the combine WITH a boot on because of his ankle injury in the national championship game? I'm sure he would have been the fastest player in the combine had he been 100% healthy.

I got to see all of Ted Ginn's home games, and 3 of the bowl games (Alamo, Fiesta, and the Debacle in the Desert). The 1 vs 2 OSU/TTUN game was the best game I have ever seen in person. Our season tickets were in the closed end of the Shoe right behind the visiting band. Working our way down to the field after the game right past the band from up North... priceless! That was the last game on turf at the Shoe I believe... we took a chunk home and it survived in a planter in my friend's window for 2 years lol

@@mattstrathis4328 there's been a bunch of "better" receivers compared to ginn. like santonio and gonzo were far superior at the position. think what they meant was this type of flair and excitement. I don’t care what anybody says….fastest college player of all time. Screw your stats and times…even though he ran a 4.29 40 on a bad foot. Once the dude went north/south….it was just not even a question anymore. As a tOSU fan, I had the same “oh shit” feeling every time he touched the ball, as all of the opponents did. Every time you touched the ball, you just held your breath because you always knew you were about to be a witness to something unimaginable. The Minnesota return at 8:24 was still the one that shocked me the most. On their turf, look at the unabated speed differential to all of the other players…it’s simply inhuman. Brad Nessler And Bob Griese knew it was a TD by the time he reached the 20 yard line….his own 20 yard line. He wasn’t even trying….he kind of put his head down around the 35 to 45….then just cruised.

Fastest football player I've ever seen. Why did teams continue to punt to him? Great demeanor as well. Always acted like he'd been there before... which he had. I wish he hadn't gone down after his opening kickoff TD return against Florida in the National Championship game. His speed not being there changed EVERYTHING for the Buckeyes in that game. Don't know if it would've changed the outcome, but I don't think it would have been the blowout it turned out to be. Great player👍
