Saw him twice in the last 2 weeks and killed it both times. Fing amazing. I saw him first in 1977. Hard to believe he is almost 75! It's a disgrace he isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is better than 99% in there.
Saw him blow the roof off Freedom Hall in the seventies. White pants, suspenders, long flowing mane and a raccoon tail. Still rocking after all these years. Thanks for the memories Uncle Ted!
I remember Uncle Ted in a loin cloth with that raccoon tail swinging on a rope like Tarzan!!😊 Those New Years eve shows with Derek St Holmes were off the charts!
yeah I can't believe he's not playing in Kalamazoo,"former home of Gibson guitars". He used to usually play here every tour and then for years he always played a whiplash bash here.Last time he sold out both nights at state theatre. I just saw him at a 1200 seat place in shipshewana,IN. Amish country, who would have thought? When I left there had to keep a keen eye out for all the horse and buggies. I swear I saw about 20 of them, and this was 11 at night. Fantastic show. Seems like every time I see him I say "best I ever saw". The one time I didn't was for the Nugent album. He wasn't in a great mood that night.A couple girls that I took to the show vandalized his truck and got arrested. They were just big fans and wanted a souvenir. When they went to court ted didn't show up so the case got tossed. They weren't trying to be mean, just overzealous.Anyway ,he didn't seem happy. I think that was the tour where he had the band dc hawks being his band. Other than that show though, been going to his live shows now for 44 years. Shit,I am getting old!
It really is that easy, if you've never played 🎸 guitar buy a cheaper Epiphone, a tuner and 10 watt amp with distortion and learn your basic chords and bar chords. I started in the early 80's when you had to develop an ear and your own sound but just utilize RU-vid for lessons or search how to play your favorite song and see how it's done 👍 you'll love yourself for it!. Guaranteed!... 🎉
Only eating FRESH WILD MEAT EVERY DAY allows a man to look that good at 75 ... God Bless Unca Ted! ... Teds... Fred Bear gives me Goosebumps everytime I hear it.
Saw him twice in the last 2 weeks (WV and NJ) and he kicked major ass both times. He is killing at almost 75! The band is super tight too. Ted is one the best and deserves to be honored.
The Michigan Mad man!!!!! Puts on one hell of a show hope uncle Ted reunite s with Dam Yankees one last time for all the 70 s 80sn90s Rockers god bless you uncle Ted the wild man on the six string
I'd love to say Teds still got it but that would be stupid as he's never lost it . Energy enough to run the damn country. Pure legend. !!! Man the wear marks on those Byrdlands tells the story of one of America's best rock & rollers. Play hard stand up for what you believe.
In 1975, I was 13, and I first heard The Motor City Madman. He has been my Guitar Hero ever since. If he is not inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then there should not even be a Rock and Roll of Fame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for those out there who say Ted is not a guitar master.......watch this video and eat your words..
I saw him the first time in 78 in a little venue called the Palace Theater in Albany, NY. The Marshall Ampa were stacks three high, creating a wall behind the stage. He came out swinging off the top of the amps wearing a loin cloth with hair down to his waist. When he got down, he grabbed two Dobermann Pinschers on chains went across the stage grabbed his guitar and began to play. It sounded like a Frieght Train coming at you for two hours. Ted is one of those player who does not need much to rock a crowd. He's 75, for gods sake and that energy he once had is still there. He loves America and R&R and will play to the day he dies.
Just saw Ted almost 12 months ago in Houston went by my self woke up yesterday morning to my lady showing me Ted Nugent tickets for the floor in Beaumont 9 days from now oh yeah
This is how real rock n roll performers kick your ass! Ted can STILL bring it better than 99% of bands/artists out there! Right from the note into Gonzo!!! Just exciting shit, plug in, turn up and fucking ROCK! God bless Uncle Ted!
Good ole fashion kick ass Rock and Roll. Back in a day when the world was normal! I’ve seen him many times and it never gets old! Another injustice that this man is not in the Hall of Fame because his politics, but most of his peers know!
Ted is 74 years old!!!!!! Let that Sink in, when you see him live....his venues are roof shattering....I guess you gotta keep fighting for something, or you die for Nothing. It was really inspiring to see him kicking ass like a teenager. He's definitely a crazy guy.
The back strap eating , guitar playing , bleeding red white and blue , spirit of the wild ! Uncle Ted ! Bad ass ! American Hero ! Truth , Justice and rock roll ! Go Ted Go ! Love you Brother !
Im really pissed that Chicago Ridge has canceled Ridge Fest July 29th and Uncle Ted....due to Safety concerns..another festival in the Chicago area canceled..Blue State Bullshit. But on the other hand..I don't have to give my best wishes to my mom on her 80th Birthday and I will actually be at her party.🤭..lol Btw great footage and I certainly hope the Rockn Roll community pays proper dues to Ted with some on stage guest appearances. ✌️✌️
I saw him right there in Terre Haute in 1978 and he was amazing then as he is today. I live far away from TH now but had friends and family at this show. I very much enjoyed this video and know I missed a great show.
Absolute force of nature - remarkable career going back to the 60's - in the early 70's like say 1971 i saw him here in ohio maybe 500 people - again at college i was going to in 1974 maybe 300 people(opened with hibernation and was a 3 piece) during these years that were probably extremely frustrating he never quit and bam 1976-1977 he becomes huge - then hits big again with Damn Yankees - and is at top of his game still in 2023 - compare this show to vids of Ace Frehely - love Ace but c'mon ---Ted has had a helluva career -- definitely a hall of fame career
