"Joan Jett was a huge part of rock in the 90s" would be hard sentiment to validate. In fact, even in the 80s, I couldn't call the three, maybe four songs that were hits, none of which she wrote, a "huge part of rock."

I own quite a few of her albums and her old guitarist Ricky Byrd was a great guitarist.

@@scottlaboch4534 I'd rather be a genius songwriter than a guitar shredder .IMO Kurt was 1000X better songwriter than Ted. Even though Kurt wasn't a technical high end guitarist there was still something brilliant about his riffs. A lot more than JJ too.

Nugent is right, regardless of what you think of him, and everyone in the industry, including Rolling Stones and Joan Jett know it. And the OP is right too. Kurt Kobain doesn't belong on the list. Nugent should be calling out more than just Joan Jett's inclusion.
