Truth and reality is only hard for people who operate on lies and illusion. Aka the feminine people. The more feminine they are, the more creative and chaotic they are which is where lies and illusion come from.
Not true at all. Less than 10% is specifically grown for livestock. They are fed leftovers from other processes. Take a trip to Texas and look at the miles of green of pastures. The grains are mostly used for government subsidized fuel additives in all major gasoline distribution. Canola oil and many other products are responsible for grain usage.
@Carlos Vellinho 80% of farms plant grains for animals? You are one of the bigoted vegans who believe in your own lies. If that were true, 80% of all crops are grains and all the 80% are for animals. Name these grains that made up this 80%. I dare you no grain is planted mostly for animals EVER! Name one and tell me how many percent. I call you a liar if you cannot prove it.
I am a big time Christian conservative and I abstain from meat an average of 70% of the year, probably even more than that. My Christian denomination emphasizes this (i.e., no meat during Lent, first part of August, and on Wednesdays and Fridays) as a way to show God we are grateful for his gifts (meat being a gift). It makes me appreciate meat so much when I abstain from it.
@fabianrauscher1073 Only 36% of grains are fed to animals. So, the answer is most farmed grains are for humans. Most crops are actually 100% for humans. 100% of fruits are grown for humans. 100% of vegetables are grown for humans. 100% of NON-FOOD crops like cotton, hemp, lumber and rubber are grown for humans. Btw, the grains given to animals include all the byproducts from making alcohol, sugar of vinegar. There are tons of distillers meal resulting from making ethanol.
@@qaulwart Not really true. The majority of soy eventually fed to cattle is first processed for human consumption or inedible to humans in the first place. Sure they get the majority...after we get what we want/need out of it. I never seen a cow drinking soybean oil or drinking biodiesel.
@@superduperpooperscooper8097 They are mostly fed hay and industry waste. They don't get raw soybeans. They are fed the meal after industry removes soybean oil for human use. No need to make things up.
I'm not vegan but if someone wants to be, OK. Doesn't hurt me but it seems to upset him. You don't have to grow beans but if you want to, go ahead, nothing stopping you. There is nothing stopping a person going vegan either, so, I believe it's OK. Although, thanks for the heads up! 😂😂😂
here is what he is missing. its the same with corporate farms with beef, chicken etc. the problem isn't being vegan, its how farming is done now by corporations. we have to find ways to be humane with all methods, at least s much as posdible.
@@letsgobrandon77 by harvesting and eating vegetables, fruits, legumes, with a method lowering damage to wildlife and the ecosystem. If the damage is less than hunting, than obviously we would being acting more humane. One method could be hydroponics.
Ted has never held back. You have got to respect him. While he may be tactless, he tells the truth. It's kind of a Love/Hate with Uncle Teddy.❤❤ But he is always entertaining and truly one of a kind.
The truth about what exactly? 80% of the soy industry is meant for livestock. The amount for human food is less than 7%. That however is also not just vegan food. Soy gets used for dairy ice cream, bread, margarine, butter, all cookies, cheese (sauce), broth, canned fish, every type spread such as chocolate spread (yes Nutella too) or nut butter, salad dressing, cake, pastries, energy bars, protein drinks, potato chips, mayonaise and salad dressings, ... A lot of things that vegans also don't eat, because most of these contain meat, eggs or dairy. So, I'd personally say he's not the smartest soy containing cookie in the jar. Because he's using 100% of the soy industry, whilst claiming vegans who will use even less than the 6% are killing the most animals.
@@trickylady1423 The majority of livestock feed is hay and industry waste. Ethanol, soybean oil, palm oil, bread, beer, biodiesel, etc... are not plants. They are the results of plant refining and the waste is given to livestock. Besides, you use animal products just like everyone else.
@@SteversChed No. That's incorrect. 30% of livestock feed is waste, 70% of their feed isn't. 80% of the soy industry is used for livestock food. The soy is used to add high amounts of protein to their food. Give 'Soy industry' a google. I don't use animal products for 12 years. Though, I do just buy my products from a regular supermarket and a lot of it comes in (often recycled) plastic packaging. Animal exploitation just doesn't sit right with me. I don't want to contribute to their suffering. I don't really go out of my way at all to try make some big change. I just make the easy choices and buy a package of soy or seitan bacon instead of a package of pig bacon, I'll buy that not tested on animals lipstick instead of the l'oreal one, the oat milk, instead of the cow milk, ... It's a very simple proces, they sell both at the same supermarket anyway. I'm just a regular person, lol.
@@trickylady1423 You forgot the hay... Soybean oil is first removed for human consumption before the waste is given to livestock. Livestock tallow and livestock bones are used in processor manufacturing. How did you reply without using something with a processor? Smoke signals? You don't have any credibility. I accept your concession.
modern agriculture does kill some animals that is true but he is exaggerating the numbers for effect. remember per harvest we are collecting hundreds of thousands of kilos of food that feeds millions. so the ratio is wrong. you definitely kill more animals by buying animal meat from the store for a meal
He is too smart for the position. If you want a shot at that office you must be a dumbass. Well everyone who has held it since I can remember has been.

@@cyriszx if you think more mice, birds etc are being killed during vegetable crop harvest than the 80 billion animals killed in animal farming you probably deserve to be lied to. Look for your own information or be lied to, that’s your choice.
@@Whats-It-To-Ya he can eat and kill whatever animal he wants, that’s his choice. Mine is vegan but it’s none of my business what others eat. But lying about veganism to suggest more animals die from crop harvesting is a blatantly ridiculous load of Nugent.
@@rescuerhonda0164 And livestock aren't human and the definition clearly states "human." Thanks for the easy win and your concession since you can't refute me.
This is absolutely true I used to drive a pea viner machine that picked the peas in western Washington. We killed everything. Mice rabbits it didn’t matter. They would get chopped up and spat out with the peas and when they were brought into the processing facility you would gather all the bones and everything found in the batch of peas. Very very normal. They usually only have one federal employee by the way to keep a eye on the facility and test samples of the peas every day and that was considered regulated this is very normal.
80% of all grain produced in America is to feed cows so all those deaths are on meat eaters NOT vegans, so uncle Ted is full of shit! Not to mention the 80 billion land animals slaughtered annually for meat eaters.
You are missing the point. Like myself, Ted is completely completely against the factory fed meat system here in America. That’s why he hunts. He clearly says in the video “I shoot one arrow for one animal”. He’s just pointing out that “holier than thou” vegans are in the same boat as the McDonald’s consumers.
@@PaulKendall That is NOT the point! Ted clearly stated vegans kill way more animals than meat eaters, and that is categorically false! It is fake news so that meatheads can pretend they are on the right side of this argument! and FACTUALLY vegans are the CORRECT side of the argument!
Ok, you win. It’s funny how all left wingers cant engage in conversation without calling names. Enjoy your tofu and don’t worry about all the birds, moles, rats, squirrels, grubs, ants, rabbits, deer that use to reside in the field before they were mangled.

it's not well thought, because to harvest the food u give to cows (which is a lot more than the one that we would consume directly ) goes through the same process of killing plages and animals indirectly, so been vegan its not about not killing any animals but u definitely save many (including the one u eat directly).... so thanks for giving another reason to go vegan
@Herbivore what do these animals eat? Animals eat mostly food humans cant eat. For example, human eats the rice, animals eat the rice straw. The straw is 95% of the plant.
@@plant-based-carnist farmed animals, due to their sheer volume eat mostly what is grown for them, not byproducts of what we do. The production of soy, for example, is 80% to feed animals. Over 80% of Amazon rainforest destruction is directly attributable to animal agriculture. Even "grass fed" means that through the winter the animals are fed harvested hay etc.
@@Human_Herbivore If you really believe that we grow most crops for animals, give me 5 crop names. There are hundreds and hundreds of crops. It should be easy to give 5. Let us discuss each.
Although I like the guy, it sounds legit but it's total horse crap. First thing is that if everyone would hunt themselves it's gonna be a complete mess so that ain't gonna work second thing is that you probably need to eat farm animals and they are absolute vegans themselves so the food they need also needs to be harvested, just like the tofu in his story. So it doesn't matter and we all should make choices in life that we think is moral. Me for example just don't eat animals because I personally couldn't kill an animal and therefore I made the choice to be fair and just skip meat and fish. And tbh I really miss it allot even after many years but as long as I'm not able to do it myself I'll have to deal with that.
But, but, but, that's Bambi! She's too cute to get whacked by a wicked hunter...those hunters are evil I say, EVIL! BUT...what about the gazillions of mice, rats, birds, insects, ecosystems we destroy to put up a vegan shop? A soybean field, any vegetable crop? Aren't THOSE creatures' lives worth anything? Soy is great if you want man boobs. That being said I eat fish because my father has 5 way bypass and the doctor said my dad should become a vegetarian after the operation. Then there is that deer wasting disease in Wisconsin.
