I swear I set out to make a friendship vid. By the end, my brain was clearly not cooperating…
This show is utterly brimming with heart, but, for me at least, it shines brightest in the relationship/friendship/partnership between Ted and Rebecca. They met at a time when both were fragile and struggling, and quickly became each other’s strength. I missed that in season 2. They’re complex people, dealing with difficult, painful, sometimes parallel issues & traumas. They’re somehow each other’s opposite, and mirror, at the same time. It’s one of the most beautifully crafted relationships I’ve seen in years.
With the idea of guardian angels being a prominent theme, I really hope these two find their way back to each other :)
