Tbh, I think deep down Robin was always thinking about Ted's dream of having a family and how she can't give it to him and it just slowly ate her up. She let him go and that hurts, I know she loves Barney but its just different. The way she looks at Ted. Rewatching this show made me ship her more with Ted.
edit: typos That's exactly what happened: the key moment is in Symphony of Illumination. Despite being her best friend and deep confidant she is torn by not being able to tell Ted she can't have kids. WHY? Because she cares about Ted's dream. WHY? Because in S4 she admits that if she ever wanted kids she wanted to have them with Ted, not with anyone else but with Ted. The next episodes after Symphony of Illumination she tells Ted she doesn't love him so he can move on, breaks up with Kevin and goes all in with Barney. (In S5 it had already been established and proven that they don't work out, to the point that their health starts suffering)
For me Robin and Ted are just perfect. They've always been in love to each other, always throughout the seasons. Robin has always been in love with Ted but she didn't chose him bc she knew she couldn't give him the family with kids he wanted so bad, she chose his happiness over hers and that's true love!! The ending couldn't have been any more perfect!!
Ikr. My idea of true love is Ted and Robin. You just don't stop loving someone cuz they don't fulfill you. You can 'not choose' them but you don't unlove them or force them to fulfill you. Himym displayed I that love isn't having kids or getting married or being embedded into a single person. You can have your own lives and still love. Pure love.
Even the death part? I agree with you, but the fact that Tracy dies is just cruel!! In my opinion, the coup de theatre should have been that Robin was the mother of the children!
I do agree with you, but I hated the fact that they killed the poor Tracy off! I mean, I really like Robin and ted but, to me, it's unacceptable that they made poor Tracy die in such a horrible way in order to permit to Ted to go back to Robin. It is as if Tracy were only a mere literary device for allowing Ted to be with Robin. Moreover, with this choice, the creators nullified all the great evolution that Barney had had over the seasons. Besides, I will always wonder: as Ted was so obsessed by Robin, how can we know that, even if Tracy hadn't died, he would not have, eventually, broken up with her to go back to Robin? In a nutshell, the "coup de theatre", in my opinion, should have been, that, eventually, we discover that Robin is the mother.
Actually I’m happy with ted and robin’s ending but the thing about the final is how Barney and robin divorced that easy and when robin stopped being in the gang it was really so sad that makes me feel terrible
I loved the ending, as I loved seeing Ted and Robin get back together. However, I do feel they could've done the ending better, even if it meant keeping the season long wedding weekend and just adding a couple of more episodes at the end.
Robin was alone for almost 15 years after divorcing Barney. She seemed to enjoy travelling for work and everything, but the whole time she loved Ted, and probably went through the same thing Ted did, relationships failed because she couldn’t get over him.
Ted is an inspiration for me, I have been in love with my best friend now for 4years. Every time Ted says that last quote, that keeps me still fighting for one day to win her heart, I sometimes just wanna give up but then I watch this video and it keeps me raise again and keep fighting
i love them so much. after the finale everything makes sense. ted never stopping loving robin, the moments they kept sharing throughout the whole show, the importance given to robin's charachter. i will miss them with my heart, but i'm happy to know they were soulmates at the end.
I do agree with you, but don't you think that it is unfair that poor Tracy dies in such a horrible way, in order that Ted can have a perfect relationship with Robin? Ted is a really nice guy! He doesn't deserve to suffer! Don't you think that, if the creators wanted so badly that Ted and Robon ended up together, the "coup de theatre" should have been that Robin is the mother?
I liked the way it ended I just wish it had been written better. I think Robin and Ted were soulmates and always there for each other but they needed to have their own epic love to get what they wanted out of life. Robin needed adventure and to go forward in her career, and Ted needed to have a family in order for them both to be happy. They fell in love with people who made them happy in that stage of their lives. But after a while they found themselves drawn back to each other, when they had experienced what they needed to experience. Because they were soulmates, the lifelong kind, the kind that doesn’t just go away❤️
There i one question.... Why did the bring TRACEY... cause they didnt give a shit abt the mother and didnt give a perfect death or farewell for her.... Otherwise they shouldnt have to bring tracey and end it beautufully with robin.. (Btw what kind of children would allow their father to date their aunt.. I mean wtf)nb:-i like the ending and i like ted and robin together than tracey but they should have written it more properly.... ANY WAY ITS A GREAT SHOW
I was team Ted and Robin through the whole show.And I don't know, I see many people didn't like the ending of the show but personally I was really hoping that these two would end up together and when they did I was kind of relieved,I don't know why.
I was rewatching the show and i just watched the episode where ted tells her robin that he loves her and they spend the day together and she tells him she doesn’t feel the same somewhere in season 7. afterwards i watched a shit ton of edits. i am currently crying in my bed so much that my pillow is drenched. i’m laying on my back.
Robin and Ted are misunderstood. Ted only had a problem with her and Barney. Robin had a problem with him and stella/Victoria/tracy, tried marrying him on a day she was supposed to marry somebody else, came up with a marriage pact, Left the country thrice because of him, fell in love with his children eventually becoming their second mom: she refused to be the mother of Kevin's kids. The post kevin rejection wouldn't have happened had he tried a little later. Robin rejected Ted thrice lay 14 years in waiting for him. He rejected her 5 times, yet he is framed as the one after her. The fact is Robin was scared to be with Ted for the fear of hurting him as she loved him way too much, and also she was caught between two worlds: Barney and Ted. Over time she became markedly pro-Ted. Ted didnt ask her for a second chance, he gave it to her. I'm just imagining as the new mother of Ted's children the advice she gives them on dating. He is also the only person she calls her "best friend".
They make it seem like this show is so emotional and romantic but when u actually watch an episode it’s real comedy and dirty jokes, this is my favorite show ever I’ve watched each episode like 10 times 😍
Since I was little i wanted to be an artist, I’ve been going to an art school, and when I saw this series i bursted into tears cuz Ted reminded me of my father... he is a designer and now I’m trying my best to become a graphic designer, it’s really hard but this is motivating me :) guys 4 more years wish me luck- if I comment on this 4 years later you know I did it- I need to be accepted into the graphics designer class , knowing it’s the class that everyone wants I need to do my absolute best to get it- wish me luck

Loved this series so much. Watched it over and over again. I totally understood what Ted was going through, I went through the same thing. I hope that I get back together with my “Robin”.

There's a girl I liked since college. She was in a relationship back then and still is to this day (5 years later). Every time we talk I feel that love. Never got over her, just forgot about it cause we weren't talking. Now that we kinda hang out I always feel stuff. I am able to control them of course and like other girls. But I must say. She is the Robin to my Ted. One in a million.
People are still upset with the ending . I mean seriously !!.. I know it could have been written better but that's what it is.. The story is always belonged to them and so as the ending. Maybe I'm little baised because this is my favourite show and Ted's character is so much related with my life still the ending was so obvious...
People who complained about the ending weren’t paying attention. From the pilot episode Ted made it clear that it was always about Robin. The things he did for Robin, he didn’t even remotely do for Tracy. Personally I would’ve loved to see see Tracy from Season 7 and her death would be that much more significant. I also would have loved to see a greater love story after the Tracy dies. For example, Instead of waiting for 6 years to ask Robin out, maybe Robin would help Ted raise his kids.
I can relate to you….love as good it can be; holds the power to destroy you. When the heart breaks you can still move on, when soul breaks from true love, it sets you into self destruction.
@@fayazmahmud7402in an ideal world you're right but in their case Robin didn't want to keep Ted waiting for something that might not happen. When they first dated Robin didn't know if she ever wanted to get married or have kids. If you know that it's not within the 5 year timeline with the person you're dating and you know that they want to get married, it might be best to breakup. I feel like even if Ted is willing to wait, he might get tired of waiting. Eventually Robin would be the villain or be pressured to do something she isn't ready for.
What if robin asked ted whether they could get back together? Ted said he'd like but first needs the kid's permission, told them the story and got their permission and came to her place with the BFH to say the kids said yes.
Well, Robin and Barney are insecure and broken people. That’s why their marriage ended and why Ted is so attractive to both of them. Ted isn’t just incredibly romantic, he’s also a guy whom people can trust and love because he’s literally an old-fashion good guy and never turn ur back on. He can cure Robin. And for Barney, Nora’s the right person. She’s a woman of integrity. If Barney chose her, there’s no doubt that he would be taken good care of by her. They could have made a cute couple~
