Good to see the Irish Teddy Boys getting their story told. I was a Teddy Boy London in the 50's and we all knew of the Irish influence. Teddy Boys were in Dublin in 1951. Irish Teddy Boys also introduced Country Boogie (Tennessee Ernie Ford, Moon Mullican, Hank Williams etc) to the scene as early as 1953 when British Teddy Boys were still listening to Pop and Big Bands. Irish Teddy Boys also introduced the Riverboat Gambler style of waistcoat and tie to the look.
