Teddy was hilarious and was that force of good that easy to cheer for whereas Bichoff was the opposite and him making random yet fun tag matches never got old as well always screwing over the heels
Poll on Who introduced who the best 1).Samantha Irvin Introducing The tribal Chief Roman reigns 2). Paul Heyman Introducing Brock Lesnar 3). Tony Chimmel introducing Edge 4). Teddy Long Introducing The Undertaker
Teddy Long: For tonight's main event, Roman Reigns, you will go one-on-one...WITH THE UNDERTAKER! Roman Reigns: (maintains a straight face while dumbfounded by the revelation)
6:35 I find it hilarious that JBL was particularly subjected to Teddy Long's "The Undertaker 1v1" like most of his heel run and he just dances here like this 😂
I don't mean to bring any potential sadness to the comment section, but maaaan, when Teddy passes Fam.. That's gonna hit y'all.. Probably somewhere on Eddie levels. And Bray.. 🥲🥲
My favorite moment was when he introduced Batista vs Undertaker at WM23. “And introducing the challenger! He is the phenom of the WWE….. THE UNDERTAKER!”
When Tedy eventually dies, never disturb his final resting place because he will emerge from the grave to tell you that you will go 1 on 1 with…… the undertaker!
*HOT TAKE:* The idea came to Teddy Long, after his cheapness got him in trouble with the Undertaker at the Wrestler's Court, in which Undertaker was the judge at the time and his punishment was that he would buy the APA (JBL and Ron Simmons) chicken and beer. So, in order for his redemption angle, he came up with that idea that became Hilariously popular. Now, he tried to return the favor to Taker by screwing him out of the World Heavyweight Championship at Breaking Point, and that led to the Hilariously scary Taker moment in which he said, *"Buckle up, Teddy!"* 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Teddy tried to go even Steven with the Deadman, and he got what he deserved in a hilarious fashion. In the end, they might have buried the hatchet afterwards.
He was firm but fair. You behave he would be fine, but you cause chaos on his show you bet that is either a tag team match or a 1 on 1 with the undertaker.
@@Zee-yr7gz I’m not talking about the goofy sayings and the “holla holla holla”, I’m talking about the matches put on and how entertaining they were. If you can’t give me examples, just stop replying
Teddy was the captain of the ship when Smackdown was at it's best. The Ruthless Aggression era could easily also be known as the Teddy Long era when it comes to Smackdown, and Smackdown was must-watch back then! It wasn't just about Teddy, though... you can give a bad team a great manager and that team's still gonna suck. Teddy had the best team of wrestlers in Smackdown history, lead by a combination of a young John Cena and Eddie Guerrero at his Lying, Cheating and Stealing best. The funny thing about Teddy? It's the way he used The Race Card! Whether it be, Latinos, Orientals, Blacks, Arabics or any other race, he'd find a way to make it both a "race thing AND a kickin' your ass thing' to paraphrase Stone Cold, and somehow, IT ALMOST ALWAYS WORKED! Best example of this? Cryme Tyme. Black stereotypes all over the place and my goodness did everyone eat it up! Teddy Long is wrestling's King Midas: nearly EVERYTHING he touched turned to gold!
Teddy Long is the greatest GM of All Time and if you don’t agree with that you got two options either you can find yourself a partner and I can find two other guys to face you and we’ll have a TAG TEAM MATCH or you can go 1 ON 1 WITH THE UNDERTAKER. You can believe that HOLLA HOLLA HOLLA PLAYA!
I always loved how right after he would say "Now just hold on a second, playuh" he would quickly tilt his head down for a pause then lift his head up to continue talking
TL apparently became popular after I stopped watching, and I'm genuinely impressed by and sad I missed his contributions once he got the respect he deserved
I always looked forward to Friday Night SmackDown because of Teddy Long no cap lol. My favorite GM ever. From the suits, the catchphrases, and dance moves, he reminded of me of some of my older uncles and elderly black men from the South. Teddy Long is a LEGEND
