When you see the genius of teddy and realize all the songs he's been a part of you gotta tip your hat to the fact they he was the architect of a whole genre or music...not everyone can do that.
Miss #MichaelJackson - Big time. Who still feels the loss of #MJ? His death (almost 11 yrs ago) caused a SEISMIC SHIFT in our Galactic Planetary System .. Yeah. Whn #MJ hit the #Music scene it was all magical for us. The #Jackson5 charted FOUR #1 Hits in a row. They created the whole "boy band' genre. They pioneered so many firsts, but as great as they were.. their 'baby' brother became greater. Then, he became the GREATEST of all time. Just like that, b4 their eyes. If U cannot believe he's gone, then imagine his Family. Imagine his Mother, Ms. Katherine Scruse Jackson.. How is she coping? She's not here in #America but in London, England with her daughter Janet Jackson. Are we so broken as a country that #MJ's Mom is safer in London, England? For now, I don't know. England also has a history of racial genocide too. In Mr. Michael Jackson's name let's get this done. Over 400 yrs is enough. It can't make him come back, but it can "make a better world, for you & for me".. AND our children & their children. That is true humanity, true faith.. to "heal the world". #MichaelJackson may have died #TheKingOFPop but he's the undisputed Greatest Entertainer of All Time. The GOAT's GOAT. #MJ left blood, sweat & tears on that stage. All the while, fighting racists, racism & ignorance. Think abt that every single time you believe your life is "too hard" .. He lived a few blocks from us in Mount Vernon (NY) & my baby brother looked so much like him, at the Dyre Ave #5 train station (last stop in #TheBronx not 2 far from the #MtVernon county line which divides #TheBronx from #MtVernon) Nicky (my bro) would be approached by autograph seekers & groupies. Nicky had no idea who this #HeavyD was, but one day at home, he casually mentioned it at dinner & every kid at the table just lost their minds. Whn he found out who #HeavyD was .. Well, he was upset. He hated RAP music cuz he was a true metal head. Which was uncommon for #Caribs b/c we like melodies, but he was. Nicky never grew to like RAP but he did respect & love the man #HeavyD was & became. He also respected & loved #MichaelJackson 👏🏾❤️ Go figure, he's up there #Gone2Soon in heaven of a stroke. With #MJ #HeavyD #JohnnyKemp & his favorite #Prince .. My baby bro is happy. Ironically, none of those guys I mentioned perform metal music but my bro' never, ever fit neatly into any box anyway. It's the #Carib blood. We R #Diversity🙏🏾 Lastly, I met #JohnnyKemp many, many moons ago when he played #TheCellar on the Upper West Side (NY) & fronted #KinkyFox which later became #TheFoxx (very early 1980s) I think #JohnnyKemp was solo then since the band played #TheCellar but without Kemp. They were the tightest band I had ever seen up to that point & Johnny Kemp (as always) was amazing. He was a fellow #Carib like #HeavyD (As I am too❤️) so he was really a homegrown, 'down to earth' Man. Always saw him running his errands, on his way to record Music, meet with record/studio ppl.. Always hustling, working to make it big which he did (#JustGotPaid) but the cost of fame is a big one. For sure. I have no doubt there's more to his death than we will ever know cuz 'island' kids know never to play on the jetties esp if it's dark out or/and if U R impaired (like tipsy/drunk, etc.) but I guess the authorities felt it was an accident. Maybe. Like #MJ #Prince & so many others met 'unfortunate' accidents. WTF? Right.😡 You know, we value & cherish the music forever💜🎵💜 I don't know the last guy on the list, but he had to be really good to be there with the others. If anybody knows his story, tell us.
