Can I just say how nice it is to see a 'western rap' fan dive into Stray Kids like that? I love that you don't call them girly or feminine or call their music 'girl music', just genuine enjoyment of the beats and good vibes (it does help that i'm also a Binnie stan lmao). Keep it up! Stays all around the world!

JYP wrote it but 3RACHA added more to the lyrics and track. If you watch the segment that has Bang Chan explaining how he hand picked SKZ and why, it also has the part of how All In came to be.

All In is one of their best singles, it's so much fun and yeah, like you said, makes you want to jump to your feet! The company CEO JYP produced the base track for them, even said how nervous he was giving it to them as 3racha has such high standards. They talk about it in an interview with him, actually. If you haven't watched that yet, highly recommend! It's very informative to how SKZ because Stray Kids that we know and love. Lemme see if I can find the link.

I BELIEVE the reason this has Han doing an intro, saying, "Two thousand twenty! We're gunna go all in!" Is due to this being their debute into the Japanese music industry. So the introduction had it's purpose. As for the completely different line distribution, I think there's a two fold reason for it. To create a different sound for their Japanese tracks since it's so important to do something special for their market. The more effort you put into your Japanese releases the better. A whole new song written originally in Japanese. A sound, concept AND a storyline that is unique to those releases is important as well. And of course catering to the members within those songs, that are going to be most popular in Japan. It's important to utilize them as much as possible. As for the mainstream sound, that also has to do with it being their debute and needing it go hit. They couldn't really take their normal risks. And of course that brings me to the subtitles, which brings up the more importantaspects of their industry within Japan... They are pretty segregated. Point blank. And I don't even mean that in the negative way that word is normally used... not entirely that is. Haha. It's just a fact... In the same way the music itself needs to be new and fresh, the entire entity that is Stray Kids needs to be redone for Japan exclusively as well. It need it's own new RU-vid channel with its very own just them content. (Stray Kids Japan, of course) they need to have a Japanese label of course. (Sony Music Japan) They even need to have all music that gets sold in Japan to be MADE for them exclusively. All Japanese albums are much more expensive because of all the extra expenses that have to go into making them. If you buy one from here, it's actually imported from Japan. In other words... everything that is made for that market, is seen as being just for them. Hence them not seeing a point in having subtitles for any other language. It's just how they are. 🤷‍♀️ It can be very difficult to make it there, specially if you don't have any Japanese members. Many companies will actually debute a kpop group that is built out of Japanese members whom are located in Japan, just so they can break into their market.

That's why i always watch u actually cause i know u enjoy the music not just for the views, so thank you for ur honest opinion

Blessed will be the day that the Japanese Stray Kids channel gets subtitles 😅 The more you listen, you’ll be able to tell between the languages pretty quickly. It’s already been suggested, but there is a Japanese RU-vid channel called The First Take that SKZ have been on a few times that you may enjoy! They have a much different feel, but Slump and Scars are both beautiful songs with deep lyrics that are in Japanese … you can find them with translations to fully experience them. Slump also has an English version; I know you enjoyed comparing the Korean/English versions of Domino!

The fact that although their main language is not Japanese and they do every cb like Korean (amazing cb's) confirms that they are versatile and great.

All in was the last one that any hint of past Lore. After that it was all abandoned.

Their japanese titletracks always have such a different feel to them and I have to admit I'm never as fond of the korean versions as I am of the japanese ones but also same goes for the japanese versions of the korean title tracks with Levanter, where I love all versions and Slump, I prefer the japanese version, being the exception. Actually I'm a bit sad I'll never get to hear the japanese versions live because they only perform them in Japan. All In was actually the first Track I bought as a babystay because I wanted it as my alarm 😅

If you want to get better at hearing the difference between Korean and Japanese, I recommend listening to ballads or slower songs in each language first and hearing the different sounds. In my personal experience, Japanese has more familiar-to-English-speakers vowel and consonant sounds, that for me are relatively easy to pronounce, while Korean has some unique vowel and consonant sounds that we don’t have in English, like 으 (eu) and ㄹ (sorta between an L/R sound that I, as someone who is learning Korean and can read Hangul, finds hard to pronounce). Also, Korean has the -ng sound, but Japanese doesn’t! Japanese has the Z sound! If you hear a really clear Z sound, that sounds like how you might pronounce Z in English, it’s Japanese. Example: Felix’s opening line of the song, romanized, is “Toba suze haji kara dekkaku / Zettai nogasenai game plan” If you hear those Z’s, that clues you into it being Japanese. Here’s those same lines compared to the romanized Korean version: “Sijagbuteo ireul beoryeo daepan / Jeogdanghi hal su eobsneun game plan” When I personally read the Japanese lines out loud, the word placement is at the front of my mouth with more sibilant sounds and the tip of my tongue involved. When I read the Korean lines out loud, it’s more in the middle of my mouth and everything feels and sounds rounder and fuller. Two slower songs to compare if you want to hear the difference on your own time (no pressure to react) would be Blue & Grey (Korean) by BTS and Film Out (Japanese) by BTS. Or, you can compare Stray Kids’ Japanese version of their song Scars with their Korean version of it. Anyways, this ended up being longer than I intended lol but I find language so interesting!

Since it doesn't look like anyone else answered this, yes SKZ speak Japanese. They did their promotion over there in Japanese. They also release English versions of some of their songs. The members learn the languages of the places they visit so to varying extents they speak Korean, English Japanese, Russian, Arabic, German, and French. (Felix speaking French is something everyone needs in their life.)

You should react to a song specifically by bang chan by himself called I hate to admit, it dosent have a music video or anything like that but I think it's a song he wrote when he was going through a dark time after woojin left stray kids it's a good song with piano making up the music but in my opinion I quite like the song

I don't know why but I just adore this song! Everything in it is sooo cool, like Hannie's intro - I mean before Felix's intro ;) - the rap from everyone, the pre-chorus is so smooth, the rock-type chorus... Japan is the biggest music Market in Asia (they are regarded very high by critics and Japanese people are much more keen on buying physical products) that's why every K-pop group is trying to break into that market. Stray Kids tailored a new sound, new line distribution, and overall a new Stray Kids (under the Sony Music Label Japan) just to please that market and as of right now, aside from BTS, they're one of the biggest K-pop groups there. Making them to always top Oricon Charts (a leading Japanese music chart) Note: China has a big market too but not every one is currently breaking records into China aside from BTS and BP (I personally think china's market is under utilized in kpop) but Japan is highly regarded and has a much more active market.

I think Stray Kids blended Rap and Rock in this Japanese release because the Japan Market is much more heavy in Rock music (they love their Rock bands lol) so it will be much more successful than just bringing pop or other genres

I love this song, but omg listening to the Korean version gives me such a headache! My brain keeps trying to sing in Japanese to Korean lyrics 🤯 I prefer the Korean versions of SKZ's songs because those are the lyrics they wrote before having to change things to fit another language.
