This video is a perfect example of my frustration with blues performances. The song starts with a great vibe and an extraordinarily bewitching vocal and melody. Then partially through the second refrain, it takes an abrupt left turn into a long jam. Why abandon such a strong song structure?
if anything, they dont have enough jam. i could listen to an hour more of pure jam. structured music is alright, but the best is when they improvise right there on stage. just listen to an album if you want perfect structure.
This song is a number one hit and then crashes and burns. Please rewrite it. At a minimum chop it of after the first 3 minutes. Giving Kibbie a forum is usually a mistake. People want to hear music, not noise. Switching gears a bit, Jeff Beck attained half his potential. He apparently wanted to show how many different sounds he could make with a guitar. Super talented. But if you heard him play a song in the second half of his career you had to catch him playing with somebody else on songs, usually not Jeff’s songs either. Jeff’s sound shows were impressive, I just don’t want to have to listen to more than a minute or so. I don’t want to see Derek headed any further in that direction. His solo’s don’t need to get too far astray from the melody…
@@bkennedy8 you need to find a different band then. tedeschi trucks band is a jam band and one of the best ones at that. i think they know how to write their music. the best part of the song is the jam with kebbi and personally i would prefer to see them stray from the melody more often. if you want simple 3 minute tunes then you should turn on the radio and listen to whatever corporate pop is playing.
