Yeah. Lorewise, base Goku and Vegeta are now much stronger because they absorbed god ki. So Cabba in base being as strong as a saiyan with literal god powers is just bullshit. No matter how you look at it. Any and all of the Universe 6 saiyans should have gone down with a single punch of base Goku or Vegeta. Even Kefla should have bend to SSJ2 or 2.

That thing has been compared through Z. When Goku was training Gohan in Time chamber in Buu saga. He said that powering up SS adds more muscle, which makes him bulky and hard to move. Even Freeza made the same mistake when using that bulky mode against Goku. But if you see some Kid buu or that 1st evil gray Buu. They are slim but far stronger than Fat buu which again is bulky.

Yeah, long time watcher of DB and it is sad to say this but, Dragon Ball doesn't justify characters being as strong as they are anymore. It's like someone wrote a fanfic for some of these characters. Not saying new characters can't be strong, but some reasoning would be warranted if they are. Cabba didn't fight an equivalent to Cell or the Androids, didn't fight Frieza or his equivalent, and certainly didn't fight Majin Buu. He has no reasoning for his strength. I don't really care their S cell count excuse for SSJ either since it is poor reasoning. If their S count was that high, being upset at anything could've triggered super saiyan easily. It would have been well known by then, you'd imagine. (Can't be that peaceful if they fight that well like Cabba, apparently). Sure, in stories, the writer is God. However, the story will be judged by a lot more than themselves when told.

SSJ2 Teen Gohan is actually relative to Majin Vegeta and Angel SSJ2 Goku which is stated when Vegeta flat out says something along the lines of "You're as strong as Gohan was then if not stronger" do Teen Gohan would scrap in early Buu

Weighted pikkon one shotted cell, then base goku after some training was able to overpower that pikkon and make him drop the weights. All of this happened before the 7 year timeskip as well. Which explains why goku and vegeta were so nonchalant about Dabura, and why gohan struggling with him was a big talking point

It's because the power scaling already was screwed up before that point. For some reason they set the U6 saiyans in their base forms to be on par to Base Goku/Vegeta. Nobody understands why this was done especially since Base Goku and Vegeta have SSJG Ki as a part of them even when not using the form, according to BoG at least. So they should be leagues stronger than the U6 saiyans when going toe-to-toe in base but for some reason Toriyama made the U6 Saiyans as strong as them. So Goku fighting Kefla in ssj2 was basically equal to him having to fight Gogeta/Vegito at him and Vegetas current power level...in SSJ2. So, it both does and doesn't make sense. They made a really bad decision with the U6 saiyans but at least they've stuck with it so it's a little bit less confusing but it's still...very stupid imo.

Because he was tired after fighting Jiren and not at full power and Kefla is a P O T A R A fusion, and Universe 6 having different potential compared to U7 by the whole "back tingly stuff" fiasco. And the same thing that Goku and Vegeta used Against buuhan and Vegito completely bullied Buuhan but no one cared and thought it was hype even though Buuhan was beating Goku and Vegeta's ass beforehand. They also seem to be overall less aggressive and bloodthirsty. Not an unsurprising way to evolve when you are so much stronger than everything you encounter. The violent nature of Universe 7 Saiyans is something which does reek of an equally violent history and evolution in order to survive. No survival need to be super violent if you're already easily the top dog on your planet. It's not like this is unheard of in DBZ. Frieza. Cooler. King Cold. Frost. The only members of this race we ever see and they are all extraordinarily powerful. Same goes for Beerus and Champa. Meanwhile random farmer with a shotgun has a power level of 20 and even the most powerful humans never get close to being at the peak of power in the series.

The theme of dragon ball has generally been "you cant do it on your own" and "having people help you is real power" but when people like cabba (literally just born this strong) exist the whole show feels pointless. Frieza is literally better then goku or Vegeta.(spoilers) In less then 1/4th the in universe time frieza has eclipsed everything both goku and Vegeta have done. Frieza correctly estimated that within 4 months he would be stronger then goku who had something like 40 years to train and he was right. Now frieza spent 10 years in the time chamber. Dragon ball super is a joke and literally worse then gt, at least gt had a solid art direction.

Like say that in this universe, SSG isn't a secret, so all saiyans in U6 know SSG, but not SSB since they never had to go regular SSJ (and as Goku says, SSB is just stacking SSJ1 on top of SSG). So Vegeta can still teach Cabba and do that "Getting him angry to awaken him" thing without making it look like some deviant art level fanfiction.

The Saibaman were a completely alien species compared to Earth, so it's entirely plausible for them to be incredibly strong. Similarly with the Saiyans and Frieza. It wasn't until the Androids that power scaling really got absurd. We went from Android 8 in Dragon Ball with a power level of... let's just high ball it and say 100, to Android 16 with a power level of 1,000,000,000 or something. The only real justification for that was that Dr. Gero had gained a lot of new data thanks to the Saiyans and Frieza, but even that is tenuous at best. Fast forward to Super, where Master Roshi goes from a power level of 100 to being competitive in the ToP, and Saiyans from another universe that just fight Space Pirates are apparently comparable to the Saiyans we already know after they've been trained by the gods. With each passing arc, the power scaling only gets more absurd.

It kinda did though... Feats are crazy inconsistent In the Buu saga a single ki blast would obliterate the entire planet but in the Goku black arc Mai somehow survives a ki blast hitting the ground under her 0.1 second timeskips even though you'd assume they're at least FTL+ by now, cabba being equal to base Vegeta despite all of Vegeta's training, etc

Tingly back nothing. Plain old SS1 was obsolete as soon as Gohan first went SS2... and then seven years later Goku shows up having reached SS3. Meanwhile, because of Goten and Trunks, the "legendary" transformation of the saiyan race became a mere child's plaything, quote Vegeta. Power escalation is NOT new to super, it's how DragonBall has ALWAYS worked.

Why probably? Beast Gohan is currently the strongest character in Dragonball. The movie has been officially stated to play right before the end of Z, so after the current manga where Goku mastered Ultra Instinct and Vegeta got Ultra Ego. And yet in the movie Gohan explicitly says that Goku and Vegeta would struggle against Cell Max. Yet Beast Gohan obliterated him with zero effort. By that logic Beast Gohan is stronger than both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta. And base Cabba is supposed to be as strong as base Vegeta, so SSJ2 Cabba is still hundreds of times weaker than Ultra Ego Vegeta. So Beast Gohan would pulverize Cabba by touching him.

It's all over the place, and what that does is really make everything feel like it doesn't matter and it's being done solely for the sake of plot. At least in DBZ you had to watch characters get beaten within a inch of their life to gain a power a boost. In Super it's like oh I feel a tingle, let me obtain the power of a God right quick.

They completely undermine the value and mechanics of SSJ and then Caulifla just gets SSJ2 in a few minutes right after SSJ and Kale’s just a female Broly. Cabba wasn’t as bad but the catalyst to the transformation was very miniscule compared to the others. SSJ’s build up was to be a form personifying the rage of it’s users. Goku watched his best friend, who he knew ever since he was a kid die right in front of him. Gohan was his biggest doubter in most of the Cell Saga and was one of the softest Z fighters but had massive potential, and this was hinted at ever since Raditz appeared. And to see Gohan finally let loose and see why he’s been hyped up to be this prodigy for so long feels deserving of both SSJ and SSJ2. Vegeta trained in space just about everyday and had his pride completely shattered after the Frezia Saga and pushed himself to become a Super Saiyan due to his desperation to surpass Goku is a great reason for Vegeta getting SSJ. Not to mention all of them went through rigorous and brutal training to get that form supports them even more. So to see a random Saiyan rival a U7 Macrocosm destroying Vegeta, (Going based off of Goku’s fight with Beerus) and then go Super Saiyan the same day is atrocious. U6 saiyans didn’t even know what SSJ was. And the back tingle thing is crazy. They basically retconned Super Saiyan for the sake of plot. Caulifla and Kale didn’t show a hint of narrative worthiness of the SSJ transformation. They never felt extreme pain of loss and were heavily implied to have NEVER trained once. Even the reasoning of high potential doesn’t work because Gohan took forever to get SSJ and he’s a prodigy. And then they go on to be able to rival a T.O.P. SSJ Goku which is already crazy in itself, and the cancer that is Kefla forces a T.O.P. Goku to go into UI Omen just to beat her, a technique that was implied Goku had been working ever since Resurrection F. THEY DO ALL OF THIS IN MONTHS WITH LITTLE TO NO TRAINING OR BATTLE EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER. They’re just Mary Sued to this level of power because Toei wants to empower the female characters in the franchise, but in the end it just makes power creep and power scaling in DBS, and just Toei look bad as a whole. Summary: U6 saiyans completely undermine the SSJ transformation at a narrative standpoint. I know this is long and I’m sorry for that. I just really needed to get that all off my chest.

Can you imagine that Perfect Cell is now the weakest main villian in Z and onward? This man constantly preaching how perfect he is can't hold a candle to 17, 18, Frieza, Buu, Dabura, Ginyu, quite possibly Krillin after he beat Gohan, any of the new characters from Super, etc. Cell living in denial and steals his powers as opposed to training.

Only way I can imagine it, is since U6 Saipan’s are peaceful. Their bloodlines weren’t constantly being fucked and dragged. Meaning there’s a lot more of them to improve. There’s probably a fuck ton more who are far weaker than U7 as well. Like China has consistently won League tournaments through pure numbers game. There’s just so many of them that the top % are just the best, but the bottom percent are worse than other regions as well. Simply put, theirs like 6 Saiyans left in U7 compared to probably billions in U6 and Cabba is the strongest amongst billions of a warrior race. Imagine if Vegita didn’t have one other dude to compete against and instead had tens of millions in his league to fight and train with.

Even though base vegeta in super is certainly stronger thanks to his training, I don’t think base vegeta would be able to take out BOG goku in SSG, unless vegeta himself also transformed, therefore neither can base Cabba beat ssjg goku in bog. Still the power scaling is just everywhere at this point, as weren’t Kale and Califua able to give god goku some trouble when they both transformed, granted goku was tired.

It also makes no logical sense that Cabba would be equal to Base Vegeta since he's supposed to have the God-ki absorbed into his base form according to what happened to Goku in BoG...

Kid Goku messed up the RR Army so Gero wanted revenge and dedicated everything he had left into making the androids to defeat Goku. There's no precedent for these U6 saiyans, they just showed up, said they were as strong as the main cast saiyans (at least in base) and we were just supposed to agree with it...The only one of the U6 saiyans who make sense with that logic is Kale because she's got the LSSJ powers/potential.

Most of them just rightfully point out that every single saiyan in U6 who's only combat experience is fighting some pirates here and there being just as strong as Goku and Vegeta who absorbed god powers is utter bullshit. Which it is. We all know that Cabba can floor Teen Gohan. The issue is that if the U6 Saiyans didn't have massive plot armor, they really shouldn't be. It just makes no sense in-universe how that would work. At the very least they could have made it so that SSG is a common thing in that universe to close the distance a little bit. But a saiyan who fought a few pirates and can't even go SSJ1 being equal to Vegeta is worse writing than the average DeviantArt fanfic.

It's not really because of their pure heartedness, its more because of a peaceful lifestyle, take trunks for example, when future trunks was under the threat of the androids it was difficult for him to turn super saiyan, while kid trunks on the other hand who has never really had to worry about much in his life could turn super saiyan easily

By that logic, Frost should be much stronger than Frieza because he's just Frieza but fights regularly. It's not a different timeline where they "missed out" on a Namek, Android, and Buu saga. It's a different reality where for all we know Cabba has already fought a dozen threats like those, and without super saiyan, he needs to rise in power in his base form.

The irony of this comment. Carthu is actually one of the least well understanding DB fans in this case here since he is using his clout to spread egregious misinformation. He failed to grasp the most basic aspect of Dragon ball: _Resting points._ He assums that every character in Dragon Ball is at their max point for each form they are in which is just absolutely wrong and he is spreading this misinformation. In DBS, Vegeta, when not trying / exerting himself, but instead calmed down, not powered up, just existing throughout the day… this state of Vegeta is his _resting point base form_ which its power level ranges in the Namek Saga tier. That doesn’t mean “he’s still weak”. That doesn’t mean he’s purposely lowering / masking his ki. This is not “bAd WrItInG”… This is just how he is when resting. Every character in Dragon ball is like this, especially the ones that can’t power up. This is what some of you fans are failing to grasp. Vegeta was not trying vs Cabba as you could clearly see. You're forgetting a few details. One, Goku and Vegeta's base power level hasnt increased significantly since the early android saga, which has been proven countless times. Two, Goku and Vegeta can choose between using base and the colorless transformation 'god-like saiyan'. 'God-like saiyan' is canonically the form Goku used on Beerus in the caves, and the form Goku used against trained up Frieza before they went Blue and Gold respectively. Three, you completely forgot the outcome of Vegeta's fight with Cabba. When Vegeta decided that the ruse was over, he smiled and took Cabba's punch to the head with no damage at all WITHOUT going SS2, revealing he was suppressing even his base power level the whole fight, like he would against kid trunks but not to such an extreme degree. He sparred with Cabba on his teenage level out of interest, but he could of just resisted any of his attacks the entire time just like at the conclusion of the match.
