A young mom's day would be turned upside down when she was met by two women after believing she was meeting up with her lover. Ashley Bocanegra, a 30-year-old mother of one, was lured to the parking lot of an apartment complex by 17-year-old Janine Gonzalez and 27-year-old Antonetta Stevens. Bocanegra had apparently been lovers with Gonzalez's brother, who was also Stevens' fiancé. When Bocanegra arrived, the duo confronted her and recorded the entire incident on video. Shortly after, Bocanegra died from her injuries. Stevens and Gonzalez were the prime suspects in her death, leading to their arrest and interrogations. Law&Crime Interrogations investigates the case and reports on the outcome in this episode. Narrated by Paula Barros.

While I agree that 20 years is short, both of their lifes will be over. The kids will grow up without their mother and probably won't want anything to do with them, they will probably also never find a job or a guy because of their history, and all plans for having children will be gone for the sister since by the time she'll get out, she's most likely past the expiration date. They'll probably be back in prison not so long after they get released. Sister might actually not even survive prison with her shown attitude.

@@bakakaizokuThat’s a wildly optimistic perspective. A 20-year sentence does not mean they will serve a full 20 years. And even if they do, their lives are far from over. People get married in prison all the time, sometimes even get pregnant, get degrees, etc. She will still have an opportunity to have a relationship with her kids. They both have plenty of time and opportunity to live decent, happy lives. Unfortunately.

Did we watch the same video? The video I watched I saw two adult females approach each other without hesitation & start throwing hands. Nobody "Killed" anyone, the video shows the deceased was alive & well after the altercation as she pursued the girls to get her phone back. Tragically the poor girl died as the result of engaging in a fight but nobody killed her or tried to kill her, hence the verdict of manslaughter. 20 years in prison for a young mother is incredibly harsh. 20 years in prison for a 17 year old schoolgirl is incredibly harsh. It was a tragedy, an avoidable one yes, but nobody deserves to get sent to prison for 20 years because of it.

I feel bad for everyone in this case. Antonette Stevens immediately went to I'm bipolar, she let stupidity guide her and toxic people but she's no victim. She had the option of leaving with her babies but instead ruined everyone's lives. She planned the altercation by contacting the other mom. She took pleasure in bragging about it to Daniel. The only one that got away with his behavior is the boyfriend/ fiancee whatever he is. The killers stepdad was clearly right about Daniel being a loser and a red flag. All of them made poor decisions and damaged the future of the children involved in their lives.
