Though he was.competing against girls then and it was two years ago. Girls mature faster than boys and he hadn't been through puberty at the time. At that age it's women vs little boys. Then to boot they only announced overall scores and little kids are scored much more leniently

@@MsJubjubbird Brady has always beaten girls in his division no problem. The problem simply was the fact that the dance moms competitions aren't real and that Abby has no clue how to choreograph. He has beaten all the girls in competition in finals competition at tda, Yagp and regionals basically every year. The girl vs. boys thing really isn't true, his technique speaks for itself.

I also have no doubt there are other influencing factors. but that specific lag period for him individually was when he was filming. He caught up quick. You could see he lacked the power and maturity compared to a girl of his age - Kalani at 14 jumps to mind - because it is true girls grow faster than boys. Brady's maturity really put him over the edge here. He can also sell ice to the eskimos with that smile of his and has insane technique. They didn't even need to do the last round because he'd already won

@@MsJubjubbird There was no lag period? Like literally right before filming dance moms he won at yagp. The only reason why he didn't always win while competing on Dance moms was because the competitions are staged and Abby has no clue how to choreograph. Right before and after doing dance moms he competed just like he always does/did and beat girls. You're making up a lag period because you're trying to be right, when literally nothing like that shows in the results of that time. Also, a lack of power really? If there is one thing Brady is known for it's his power in his leaps and jumps, he never struggled with that even as a tiny mini.

​@@bubbleblow7461 Oh don't be a butthurt fan. I'm not making it up just for fun- I wrote some papers on it because I had to instead. If you take your rose coloured glasses off it is evident. And it's normal in a lot of activities- apart from those ones where they starve the girls to delay accumulation of essential body fat. It doesn't mean you never beat girls but it is harder during that time. No one is denying his talent and biology is not his fault- in fact I'm impressed how quickly he filled out.

BTF comps have people compete in the age division they would be at on jan 1st, and brady turned 16 after jan 1st but all season long he would be in the 13-15 (to avoid people changing age divisions mid season)

@@darlaj.970 not really, no dancer is ever overplaced in a catergory, it's just that you could have technically been in the correct age division, but once you have your birthday they keep you there for the rest of the season, so that you don't win awards for teen at one event, and then compete for the senior best dancer, so once you're a teen or a senior for the first comp of the season, you're in the same division for the rest of the season
