Myles had a head cold of sorts here (you can hear him being congested when speaking), but still absolutely kills it vocally in a live setting, all while playing a phenomenal guitar. Great vocalist! Great band!
Quick fact: Myles Kennedy (vocals) of Alter Bridge is also the lead singer of the solo band of Slash (lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses)... Myles Kennedy also recently released his solo albums ("Year of the Tiger" and "The ides of March") 3 members of Alter Bridge formed the band in 2004 after the dissolution of their previous band Creed in 2003... They were hugely successful as Creed and sold over 20 million copies of 3 albums between 1997 and 2002... But Creed's singer Scott Stapp was struggling w/ alcoholism and the band was falling apart on tour by '02 (bassist Brian Marshall had quit the band in 2000 out of frustration). Finally in 2003, Mark Tremonti (guitar) and Scott 'Flip' Phillips (drums) had enough and ended Creed... Tremonti had written an album of music and wanted to start fresh... They asked bassist Brian Marshall to rejoin them and hired singer Myles Kennedy and recorded the debut Alter Bridge album 'One day remains' in '04 (it sold gold - a half million copies in the US, but was more successful in Europe)... Alter Bridge also refused to play any Creed songs in concert - they were willing to start from scratch and play clubs again after selling out arenas w/ Creed. For the 2nd album 'Blackbird' in 2007, Myles Kennedy also contributed guitar after showing potential on tour... Despite not being as popular in the US, Alter Bridge did very well overseas and were playing arenas in Europe by 2010. Creed did reunite for 1 more album in 2009... they recently announced plans to play shows again while Alter Bridge is still active. The part where they come into the first chorus gives me chills. Reminds me of war, Myles is alone up front and as the chorus kicks in the bassist and guitarist move up front in a way where it’s like backup has arrived and they about to go f shit up!!!
You should check out Myle's solo live acoustic song Watch Over You. It's simply stunning. His voice is sublime and the performance (any live versions will do) is very emotional and compelling. He's a treasure.
I should have added that Mark Tremonti is not only a phenomenal guitarist and songwriter he's also a great vocalist in his own right. In fact, he made a solo album called Mark Tremonti Sings Frank Sinatra songs and it's amazing.

Please react to Words Darker than Their Wings live from the Royal Albert Hall! It has an orchestra behind them, both Myles and Mark sing (the other guitarist) and it also helps showcase Myles voice in that one! In my opinion thats a better vocal performance on Wings.

I can really recommand another song by them which is called 'In loving Memory' which I believe is dedicated to the singers mother. Its an incredible song in my opinion. I'm not the biggest expert when it comes to Alter Bridge but even me can recognize the beauty and melancholy of that song.
In Loving Memory was written by the lead guitarist Mark Tremonti And on the live from Amsterdam version you can tell Mark is very emotional and trying very hard not to cry. Great song!

Big AB fan here. I used to be fan of Creed and when Creed broke up and Mark, Brian and Scott formed AB with Myles, I stuck around and almost 20 years later I'm still here. One of my favorite bands, and also one of the bands I've seen live the most 🙂 Blackbird is the biggest AB song out there, an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. It always gets a huge crowd reaction during live shows. Blackbird was also the name of their second album (this song was the title song) and is the logo of the band, take note of the birds on the guitar neck Myles was actually a bit ill during this concert by the way, usually he sounds better. If you check Words Darker Than Their Wings from the list below, you'll see what I mean 🙂 Myles also sings in Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators and he made some solo albums. Mark also sings on some AB songs (main vocals on Waters Rising and Forever Falling, and on a few more during concerts), has his own metal band where he sings and plays guitar (Tremonti) and recently recorded an album singing Frank Sinatra covers. Will you please please check out alter bridge words darker than their wings. You will definitely be blown away. Miles and Mark both sing on this song and they have a full orchestra playing with them on the live version. You will not be disappointed
I would like to, and I recommend you, react to a Brazilian band called Angra. Especially the version they make of "Wuthering Heights". Or to the song "Make believe". The singer's voice is incredible.

I think you as a singer, and I’m sure you may have heard it by now, but I think you’d really appreciate his singing from the studio version. It think Myles is probably the best front man in rock music, and has been for over 20 years.

you should check out mark tremonti's side projects their guitarist, hes got an even better voice, he does covers of frank sinatra songs. he actually announced that hes going to release a christmas album this year. its very jazzy
You might have heard Didturbed's cover of The Dound of Dilence? Most reaction channels either react to the official video or their performance on ConanO'Brien. But there are a few videos of Myles Kennedy coming on stage and singing Garfunkel's harmony line. I really prefer those to the performances that have David singing solo, despite how evocative he is.
Ayyyy you (the vast majority of channels) insists on reacting to Blackbird (great song of course) but the one that really makes you jump and stir is Addicted to Pain.
I wish they didn't pump in fake crowd noise into this live recording, especially at the beginning. I've been to a few Alter Bridge concerts and the crowd has always been mostly quiet and captivated when Myles goes into the Beatles Blackbird riff. People aren't whistling their heads off during the whole thing. It just doesn't fit.
