Listen, you can dislike or not be a fan of go all you want, but you cannot deny that it’s actually really funny. I think it’s a good parody of the Titans.
The movie randomly reminded me of the random times as a kid my dad would speak in. “Waffles” so yeah its still pretty damn funny even if its not the best
I'm not gonna lie, Robin's staff in this version being a full-on multi-functional weapon, especially with it changing from a blaster to a pair of giant metal fists, is friggin awesome
I used to hate this show but it has grown on me over the years and I actually think it's pretty funny and has elements from other shows I like, the plots are just insane sometimes and there's episodes and characters that I really enjoy.
I loved the show as a kid, but then rewatched it years later and had no idea why I hated it now. The reason I think Gumball works, is at least it's not trying to appeal to just children.
@@meganek0597 very few things are my dear. My point is they got waaaaay more commonalities than differences but people will swear to you they on the opposite side of the spectrum from each, and I'm saying this as someone who not only likes but prefers gumball susbtantially more
@@complex2live " it's not trying to appeal to just children" neither is TTG obviously not as much but it still has a lot of 'adult' humour and refrences, it's just unlike gumball the childish stuff is waaaaaay more childish and overshadows it
Guys, this show is meant to be a parody of Teen Titans and DC in general. There is no continuiy or seriousness about it, it's like spongebob but using DC characters in it's place, try not to look to deeply into it XD.
@cctomcat321 I remember that the new season had a half-episode when the T-Tower got rebuilt after its destruction in this film. Also, 'Teen Titans Go vs. Teen Titans' (2003) isn't as good as this film. The 3rd film with the 2019 'DC Super Hero Girls' (by Lauren Faust) was more of a series finale for the latter series than a proper crossover film.
Lol its funny watching them put this non existent puzzle together. It wasnt intended to be this necessarily but CN execs were so happy with its success they left them to themselves so they took fulll advantage to do whatever the fuck they wantdd.
To answer your question, the actual show does change art styles occasionally, but mostly just to the characters but sometimes around the entire show for the episode
33:14 It was much easier for people that knew about DC Comics in general to know something was up with Jade lol. Firstly, her last name is literally Wilson (Slade/Deathstroke's last name). Secondly, she has white hair (Slade/Deathstroke's hair color). Thirdly, her name is spin on "Slade". Lastly, Slade actually has a daughter so people instantly theorized they were the same person
Robin always was my favorite in Go! due to how he’s either the only rational one or completely insane, and rewatching the original series makes me realize they were just exaggerating personality traits Robin already had.
If there's one thing i loved from the TTG it was how much the titans use their powers to enhance each other. I wish they did that more in the original series
Unironically an amazing movie, I don’t like the show, but the movie is golden and the humor is genius. It’s giving off the same vibes of the SpongeBob movie it’s so good
Idc what people say, this movie had some absolutely hilarious jokes (‘whats your dad’s name?’ And the Batman chase scene) and robin’s song is actually a banger.
Oh, this is a surprise. I’m not one of the hardcore TTG haters; my attention is just toward other CN shows that I have more investment in. Admittedly, I’m proud the show got a bigger fan base later throughout the past… 10 years (insane to think about), and they did keep CN alive the past 2-3 years (for better and for worse) in an era where the network was in a perpetual purgatory. I honestly did like this movie.
To be honest TTG isn't as bad as people say, don't get me wrong it's not necessary good but it's not atrocious. That being said this movie is actually pretty good,Slade is entertaining, the songs aren't bad and the animation is decent
To me, TTG is just an abridged version of Teen Titans. It's weird, goofy, dumb, crazy... and it fully commits to it 100%. This movie was a lot of fun. It did genuinely make me laugh in places, ESPECIALLY that Batman v Superman part! 'Mine's Thomas!!' 🤣🤣 Kinda makes me glad I didn't invest into Zack Snyder's DC movies a lot! 33:49 was IMO one of the most heartbreaking things I ever witnessed... and I just recently just watched the Amphibia season 2 finale. I was really loving Jade throughout the movie. Even when it looked like she would end up being the villain.
Funny and really cool that the same directors and writers of this went on to direct the Mario movie and you can feel that same level of love for the property and world there like you do here but it’s just being taken a bit more seriously. Another cool thing is that the Daffy Duck intro was basically the first look at what the most recent Looney Tunes iteration, “Looney Tunes Cartoons” was gonna look and feel like. It was directed by Pete Browngardt, the creator of Uncle Grandpa and the overall supervisor of that iteration of the characters. You guys DEFINITELY gotta watch that show. One of the best and most faithful takes on the characters in years. They even got a fully 2D animated spin-off film coming out starring Porky and Daffy that’ll be the first ever fully animated theatrical Looney Tunes film and it’s got the same creative team who did that show.
I used to be one of those that hated this show but once I watched it with my kids I actually loved it. It's hilarious & I can see why it's one of the best CN shows of all time
Technically , there was a teen titans go comic based off the og show, which did have chibi versions in the border, but I’m pretty sure they just used the same name.
The movie came out after season 4 or season 5 and they never knew who slade was, teen titans go and the og is different but yes they do reference it, they also made an episode that the teen titans go saw how "they were before" since teen titans came out before teen titans go and other side jokes like Robin's baby hands are regularly mentioned in the show there even a episode regarding around Robin's baby hands and also him under his mask also THE NIGHT BEGINS TO SHINE is the best part about teen titans go
Honestly after like the 2nd season TTGO is much better than people give it credit for. The show can be pretty meta, dark, and satirical as all hell about many different types of things. Not to mention that if you enjoy DC comics, it is an easter egg minefield.
I can't believe they didn't include the Supergirl wearing plastic man joke I love this movie btw I'd love to know how many awkward conversations with parents were had after the ending 😂
15:07 he show is kinda like gumball. A bunch of episodes that doesn’t have any order to watch them in you could watch an episode in the final season and then an episode from season 1 and nothing would really change.
You guys really should react to Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans. Imo, it has the perfect mix of the og TT and TTG and references pretty much every iteration of Teen Titans in some way. It's one of my favorites.
As someone who has come to like TTG more and more over the years, getting a movie was definitely unexpected but turned out to be really good. Hope you guys enjoy this movie ^^
If you saw this comment like EVER, i really want you guys to react to the “Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans” it came out like a year after the Teen Titans movie and for me its my favorite movie and it would makes me the happiest person ever to see you guys react to it 😊❤
Slade doesn’t actually appear much at all in the show. He’s referenced like 1 or 2 times. This movie was actually the Go versions of the characters actually interacting with Slade for the first time.
Teen titans isn't that bad. If you are wanting something serious than it isn't for you. But like you guys said it is like gumball. I would love to see you guys watch it and see how many deep dc cuts are really in the show
That end credit scene when this released everyone thought og was coming back and i think this movie did so well cause they thought it help bring the ogs back but it was just for the second movie lol 😅
Yeah, part of me is still kind of hurt that WB didn’t fulfill their promise on a season six of the original Teen Titans. Not the Teen Titans go isn’t bad actually I find it quite enjoyable.. in the beginning I wasn’t sure what to think of it, but it has grown on me as a show
@@Blue_Lightning33I see the argument of why the ttg go team can’t just continue the story from where it left off instead of giving us this “crappy” reboot. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure there’s a legal reason they can’t do that. The ttg team just wants to have fun and so their own spin on the teen titans by making it comedy centers and making jokes.
@@emanuelrodriguez9044 I think they mean a literal new season with new episodes and all that. It just a crossover for nostalgia. I still liked the crossover movie though.
Ah yes, the movie where Plastic Man becomes the luckiest hero of all time.. Massively underrated flick that honestly might be the best DC film of its time. Genuinely shocked the first time through with how far they were wiling to go for a gag & it pretty much pays off every time.
TTG is basically a parody of the entire DC universe as well as the characters. It's not meant to be taken as serious as the original show and there is no real overarching plot or continuation for the most part, each episode has its own small goofy story. It's funny the way its suppose to be, but the reason why it's so looked down on is when people unfamiliar with the characters take it serious and start associating what the show says about the characters to their original comic depictions. Like Robin in the comics is well respected and a great leader but in TTG nobody really treats him well or looks up to him so it kinda sullies his reputation and makes him look like a joke. The best way to enjoy this show would be taking it at face value and just watching it for what it is, without digging too deep on any of its relations to the actual comics or characters.
I didn't care for this show at first but, my little sister loved it so I always ended up watching it and I love it too. Has amazing songs in the show and while the fart and butt jokes get overused it genuinely has really funny moments. And also random little messes up things like I think there's an episode where Robin is stuck somewhere and you can see Dora's skeletal remains. Also the Titans are actual terrible people to robin in the show 😭 There's an episode where they're pulling pranks on each other and tell Robin that his parents are actually alive and waiting for him in his room and when he runs in there they tell him it's a prank and start laughing and he just starts crying 😭
The whole point about robin said they treat him like a joke is that during the teen titans go series robin always the butt if the joke, he get hurt a lot Starfire pretend to kiss him and sucker punch his stomic, they treated him like garbage, said he a terrible leader and never listen to him at all, the worst part is on April fools day they said his parents are in his room so he run in crying and it was cover in tape and he cried because he dick Grayson and his parent died in a circus accident as a child
THIS MOVIE WAS INSANE AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!! ❤❤❤. This was my first time watching it so now i gotta watch it again on my own. 😄 Its clear to me that you guys are going to LOVE Teen Titans Go!! 😌😁
I watched the show with my mom when it was airing, after she passed i have learned to look past the things i don't like about it and really enjoy the funny lil antics the TTG versions get into.
Ttg does have continuity, but not any that really matters. Only some recurring characters and events that happens. Like the talking birdarang and walking boombox. Something in the first season made that happen and has stayed like that ever since all these years later.
I saw this when when I was hosting a field trip for a bunch of little kids and they were so excited to see it and came out loving it, that’s how you know the people who complain about this show are a vocal minority
@@Evan-kYour thoughts on it are irrelevant to the topic, I’m saying despite what the vocal minority in the internet want you to believe, most people, specifically children, do really love this show and movie
The episode of the show that aired after the movie was the Titans trying to rebuild the tower after it blew up. So the movie was apparently canon to the show despite the show having very little continuity.
Believe it or not this how the titans surprisingly act worst in Teen Titans Go! Also fun fact there was a Teen Titans Go episode where they rebuild their tower after Slade blow it up in the movie.
I will say TTG has at least some slight continuity with seeing villains multiple times throughout the show (such as Rose Wilson or Tara) and those epiosdes are pretty fun (rose wilson and raven are so gay for each other real)
I love teen titans go, there is something magicial about it. its jolly, there is a feeling of creativity and happiness to it that hard to explain despite its sillyness and constant memeing that somehow never feels tiring or overstayed... even in your reaction, it was wonderful to see more you watched more you became childlike in glee, like when all you guys started the chant "credits credits!" i hope you guys can do reaction for some of the big episodes like "Let's Get Serious!"
I wish they show HAD lent more into super hero parody like the movie did because the movie is genuinely hilarious and they did a good job upping the animation.
I used to hate this show because we got it instead of another series of Teen Titans but as time has gone by I’ve learned to appreciate it as it’s own thing. I don’t love it but it was never aimed at me and it does still manage to get the occasional chuckle out of me despite that, especially the movie. I think a big a part of my greater appreciation for it came from contrasting it with the Titans show which WAS aimed at me and failed completely IMO.
I grew up on the OG teen titans but I’ve watched some of the TTG and honestly it’s pretty funny at times and at least IMO I can say I don’t hate the show it’s good for a laugh.
OH MY GODDD listen i grew up with the og teen titans but i absolutely LOVE TTG! It would be GREAT if you guys reacted to it because i know you would vibe with the humor of the show (because i know is not for everyone), they have good comedy, some episodes have SICK plotlines, the songs are great and the dc references are everywhere (especially in newer seasons), You would totally have my support if you decide to react to TTG now that you have finished Teen Titans 😊 Love the reaction and I can't wait for the TT vs TTG one!!!!
Honestly, Teen Titans will always be amazing to me but that doesn't mean TeenTitans Go isn't a good show. In fact, it had some super funny moments that made me laugh out loud, even if it is a bit stupid at times. I'd love to see you watch the series :)
