It's a learning experience every teen goes through. Being used by a person for their own personal gain is a horrible feeling, but it's one everyone goes through for maturation. But like they said, any time you face rejection from a person, or in this case deceit, what it's really doing is diverting your attention to someone more deserving. And that's Beast Boy.
I agree. It’s extremely obvious imo. She even says “He lied to me. And I gave him what he wanted.” Def gives the vibes of online pedos targeting vulnerable young people. So many parallels in this episode with red flags of abuse. Great show

I always took this as an episode about internet predators in chat rooms and stuff. The whole notion of someone projecting an image of themselves to get you to try to meet them “for real” but it’s not who you think it is and they were just using you. I think the 2000s is when everyone was starting to become aware of Internet predators and schools were always giving assemblies about it. I like how they were kind of subtle in this episode though.
Yeah, they obviously couldn't properly represent that in a children's cartoon, so they opted for an allegory. Even had an allegory for bigotry in another episode, complete with a slur.
*Fun Fact:* the design of the dragon is inspired by the one in Sleeping Beauty. Ben 10 also has a dragon similar in design and it’s for the same reason, referencing Sleeping Beauty.
*Teen Titans* since season 2 onward always put more mature themes since the show was popular with Teens, so I always thought the context of Raven saying “He lied to me and I gave him what he wanted” was about s*x, since some teen girls get with a guy that just wants to get in their pants and then leave. That happened to 3 classmates when I was 14 and they even got pregnant.
I so much as enjoy Malchior and how the titans fight him. Mostly Beast Boy as a Tyrannosaurs Rex. Imagine if Beast Boy could fight Malchior in form of a Dragon. Nice how they, the titans, all got to meet Machior. 0:15, that moment makes it look as if Malchior was original a wizard who was cursed to become a dragon.
Duuuuude, Beast Boy should've turned into a dragon himself when the fight wasn't going their way anymore... That would've been totally AWESOME and he probably could've put up a better fight against Malchior 🐉🔥
Raven truly is her mother's daughter. The sad truth is, what Malchior did to her is basically the same as what Trigon did to Arella. There are differences in terms of details but it's essentially the same.
These fights always makes you wonder how they paid for any kind of house repair that wasn't a specialty of cyborgs. He was into the metallic/tech types of repairs/building, but what about walls for the tower? After all, they are teenagers, so none of them are probably working 6 figure jobs. Since Robin split from Batman, you gotta wonder is it all taxpayers money or is another wealthy member of the justice league quietly funding this (green arrow, perhaps)?
I'm pretty sure this is a world where since superheroes and super villains are a norm, some of these superheroes are government funded and deputized to counter super villains.
@Trekkie DownUnder 🇳🇿 That would tend to fall under the taxpayers' money. Sure, a few government officials use their own funds, but a lot of "government funding" comes from taxes at one point in time or another.

Slade Racer actually he can adapt to other planets animals like demons,dragons,aliens,kryptonians and more so stop trying to underate him because it gets irritating
I've always liked Rorek and Malchior (if nothing else in concept)...there's a part of me that hopes the two of them some how make it into Young Justice.
Malchior looks like Cynder's dad lol and Cynder is a black dragon too. Honestly if Cynder does a comeback to The Spyro Series but in Reignited Trilogy Spyro Style and keeping her black and not purple she should be voiced by Tara Strong.
Robin is able to slightly harm Malchior with a sword strike but then his projectiles (which are essentially hand grenades) just bounce off causing no damage at all. Doesn't make any sense at all
Picture if you will, the Titans/BOE fight in season five: Malchior shooting fire at the kids, but raven blocking his attack. He breaks through her shield, though, pinning them all beneath his feet. Then, the Beast comes barreling in from off screen, robin warning the rest to stay back unless they want to be in the line of fire, as the Beast gives Malchior the worst physical beat down he ever received.
Raven was kind of a bitch to her friends in this episode. Of course I felt bad for her and they are teenagers so it completely makes sense the way she was all "I'm just DIFFERENT" even though the Titans were trying to talk and include her.
I'll admit, haven't watched this show. So out of all the clips I've seen, the only magic words I've seen Raven say is "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!", which seems to be a spell that does... well, ANYTHING! It's nice to see her expand her magical vocabulary!

Lemirado Parker Pretty much. The metaphor behind this episode, was that Raven got used for sex. Not literally of course, metaphorically. Malchoir made her feel loved, then once he got what he wanted, he threw her to the side. Then the one that's really there for her, comes to her aid, Beast Boy.
