well said!! i completely agree. 30 something years ago watching it who didnt want to be michael j fox in that moment hitting the game winning free throw. the crowd erupting as soon as the ball goes through hoop and hits floor and music. perfect feel good moment gives chills every time even today.
For me it was biter sweet feeling or a kind of beautiful anguish. I was a loner in high school and I could only dream of that moment with Boof. Yeah, that song gives me the feels.
1:47 Every kid deserves a Dad that great. You revel in your achievements but at the end of the day you always remember sharing that triumph with your parents. Those are powerful moments that never leave you...
Yes!!! Exactly! My son kicked the winning goal in a major high school soccer championship game, and I was glad to be there :). He had a very long road to get to where we was on that soccer team and to cap his last high school game off like that like that, it really did remind me of this movie scene :).
This is such a well crafted movie ending scene, from how the plot ends, and the music on top of it, and how they slow it down while the credits play. Very nice!
@@lindseysummers5351 Yes Indeed She Was Boof Being The Real Catch So Awesome When He Dissed Pamela The Blonde, It Is To Laugh As Daffy Duck Used To Say!!!😆😆😆😆😄😄😄😄😎👍
I agree... but it's the entire scene & song for me :) So much of this film works.... MJFox is perfect. boof/ Susan Ursitti etc etc. etc etc I never watch the sequel ... but I can watch the original over and over.
@@MrLarryLessor definitely the entire scene. It just gets to you... especially when j fox kisses boof, and hugs his dad with exhilaration, as the song's chorus rises... its just perfect.
I miss the 80s in general what a wonderful and amazing decade to grow up as a young child! The movies the shows the culture the patriotism and when people actually knew how to socialize and there was no craziness been going around like today We were not issue or problem free but it was definitely a much more prosperous and I
I love how in the chorus she says ".....tell my I can do it too"....the follows up with "maybe I can do it too". The she delivers it it's like you can actually hear her building confidence in herself because of how much she admire the person she is with. ....or maybe I'm just to overly 80s cheesy lol. but I hear/feel that.
I miss the feeling of being at the cinema (we called them the pictures growing up in Scotland). Regardless of what was going on in your life, time stood still for 90mins and you were transported to another place.
I remember as young kid watching this with my sister who was older than me, and somehow after the free throw dropped and the song started even as a kid this song struck me like a lightening bolt and could possibly be the catalyst to why I adore 80s music. FUCK MAN THIS SONG IS SO FITTING
This is one of my 4 go to movie scene that make me pause and reflect. The facial expressions of the two actresses are superb. One tense and nervous the other smug and assured then boom she gets the wind knocked out of her. Difference between love and lust.
The movie wasn't anything to write home about. The cinematography not much either. But, you take those final moments next to the bleachers inside everyone's high school gym and score it with that song and end it with the shuttered movement...then you allow all of us that experienced those moments to transport back to those more innocent times of growing up... simple yet magical.
The way Lisa turns her head and thinks she will be rejected as Scott might fall for Pamela..but he walks past Pamela and embraces Lisa instead gets me every time! I wish I could even in my mid 40s i could deserve a woman like that
N burton : 2023 same track.Them lyrics & melody hits me BIG 🤧🤧🤧🙄🤔Why so? Its just a fact we have all being tested in school, different ways/ forms but with same meaning.
When the song said changes over night, Michael J Fox's did even before this movie came out with Back to the Future. Beautifully made for a small budget flick
I love Michael J Fox!! He's the greatest!! He will always be my celebrity crush!! Great song, too! Exemplifies the 80s in the best way!!! Wish I could go back to that time!!
Love the piano solo! Since I was a child, I’ve always loved the end credits of this movie. Another one that has a surprise piano solo. It’s very haunting but beautiful is the end of the Goonies.
THE FINAL SCENE FROM TEEN WOLF, WHICH I THINK WAS MICHAEL J FOX"S BEST MOVIE!! LOVE THE SONG AND ESPECIALLY THE PIANO AT THE END OF THIS!! ALSO IN THE CREDITS FREMONT NEBRASKA IS MENTIONED!! ALWAYS KNEW THERE WERE WEREWOLVES IN NEBRASKA! HA! GREAT MOVIE, REALLY OVERSHADOWED BY "BACK TO THE FUTURE: WITH MICHAEL J. FOX, RELEASED THE SAME YEAR!!?? WHAT A YEAR THAT WAS!, WOW!, the dj
I commend this movie for taking the high road. It could have easily turned the ending into Scott turning into the wolf again, or dad wolf going around and mauling people. Instead it didn’t show us the wolf again and wanted us to know Scott had learned his lesson.
Amazing. Beginning of the movie same free throw spot, except nobody behind him cheering. When he air balls it and goes to his house and vents to his dad he thinks he should leave the team. Ending of the movie is so cool to see him in that same spot but with this kinda love!
Remember Watching this alot as a kid. This movie isnt just a great 80s classic its a good sports movie and has a Great soundtrack i remember this ending made me both happy and emotional at the same time! Love teen wolf!!!🕶️
Mick’s disgusted look @ :40 is priceless, as he grudgingly admits defeat for his team. Also @ 1:38, “Come on, Pamela, let’s pull out of here! and she finally puts him in his place: “DROP DEAD!” and with that stalks off, as Scott finally fully realizes that Lisa “Boof” is better for him.
Still feels the shivering on my skin and the peace in my heart. Love the movie, the scene , the song...but most of all the 80's. I was 9 years old when this movie played in my house's video.
One thing I do remember about the ending of this film was the fella fixing his trousers and pulling up his zip, I remember that laughing at the time and it's in this shot with red t-shirt @ 1:48 lol
Feel so sorry for Boof when she sees Pamela, obviously thinking Scott is gonna ditch her for the blonde! They should have showed her face when Scott brushes past Pamela like she's nothing.
Simple yet great timeless message this film told with its story, don’t be who others want you to be even if it’s better, believe your enough and even if you fail at least you did it entirely on your own merit
Uno de mis finales favoritos de la historia del cine, por todo, personajes carismáticos , música, que grande, una de las películas de mi infancia. Saludos desde Barcelona España, gracias por subirlo
Our favorite growing up along with The Great Outdoors. Just heard about the extra who flashed everyone in the background after Boof & MJF kiss. I can't believe it took all these years for someone to spot it. How did the editors miss it?
Saw this on the big screen. 12 year old german boy full of dreams. Felt like i could move mountains when i left the cinema. Had a crush on boof although i always preferred blonde girls. 😁But she was special☺️ best of times. Now I am 50…. Time flies, boys🇺🇸🇩🇪
No HipHop beat. No whazzup dawg. No need to sway head, make aggressive hand gestures and finger wagging while talking. No angry hardened looks. And at the moment of truth - people celebrating and taking it in, versus ripping out a phone to take a 2 inch screen video they will never watch. Indeed there was a time.
I’m here because a most paused movies list named this scene as one of the most because a background extra is seen without pants at one point, the closest I can find is around 1:49 there’s a background extra wearing jeans which appear to be unbuttoned & unzipped, but they appear to be correcting the problem & are holding their silver colored jacket in front of it for part of the time…
@@catnapgee5357 I was trying to insinuate that the extra was a pioneer in pushing the envelope for comedy and that he was a hero for being brave. I should've provided more context, but then you had to insert a smart-ass retort to feel better about yourself. My apologies for challenging your narcissism.
